I bought the Fire Phone as a music player when it started getting cheap, $179, but not as cheap as it got when they wanted to completely blow them out. I have found the Fire Phone to be an excellent daily driver, once I did some tweaks that are readily found online. The tweaks started with loading Google Play (a breeze). Once you have Google Play, everything is easy, including custom launchers. The best launcher I've found is Buzz Launcher. I have the paid version of Go Launcher, but the Amazon Fire OS has a tough time staying stable with this launcher, maybe because Buzz Launcher lacks a few of the whistles and bells. Anyway, when the battery on my Nexus 5 died, I switched over to the Fire Phone and have been very happy with it. The camera is good, battery life is excellent, and overall a nice piece.

Ufone isn't gonna work right,i am using zong nano sim and it's working perfecting 3g 4g working fine.

I got a nano sim but my phone is still giving me errors that it is an invalid sim or there is no sim. This isssue is temporarily resolved by restarting or putting the sim in again but this only for some time. Can anyoune pls help. Iam using ufone

Iam having a very tough time with my amazon fire, I got an actual nano sim from ufone as it was mentioned in the previous opinions and it did work but only for some time after that it is constantly giving me errors after every hour or so that the sim is invalid or there is no sim. I then have to restart the phone or take my sim out and then put it in again. If anyone has faced similar problems pls provide a solutin

Those guys who have sim detection problem they have to insert an actual nano-sim, because FirePhone is very sensitive in terms of sim. I had sim detection problem. the sim was cut into a nano-sim and had a terrible time with the phone but by changing the sim and inserting a real nano-sim, the phone worked like a charm.

I have one for the past six months i can say all android apps ; waze, IG, facebook, whatsapp work fine side loaded, there are tutorials out there to explain how to install google play store. This phone has great battery life, great display for reading and price is great. the only negative for me is the camera which is poor for a 13mp, its very dark and you cant adjust this before taking shots only after, otherwise a great buy for the price.
