I've been using Fire OS for over one year six month now, it was really cool until recently when i notice a change. It suddenly went off and started tripping on and off, i tried switching it off but it didn't work. Can someone please explain what might've caused that and a possible way of solving it?

Spike90, 26 May 2017Believe it or not i have this phone for last 1 and a half y... moreThe thing is though if you don't play around to put google play on it, you will be stuck updating your apps manually which can get quite annoying. I had this phone for a year and am now switching to the S8 since I don't like Fire OS.

ak sid, 16 Mar 2017unfortunately........my fire phone camera....dust had gone ... moreGet a T4 (i guess or T3) and a prying tool. Remove the sim card tray. Remove the screws with the speaker grill and start prying from the same place. go from right to left. Dont open 2 much once pryed as the left side buttons have a ribbon in between for volume and camera buttons so just open it like hinging it from left and clean the camera. and for next time put a little adhesive tape over the little gap between glass and plastic over the camera to avoid getting it dusty again.

It works great and the thing about Fire OS is that its different and unique and not like any other has to offer. Maybe less featured but has got everything for your daily use. Great phone for such price.

This is great phone from hardware point of view. But the FireOS , being immature, is the only culprit for its flop. I have installed CM 11 which works like a charm. So, it's great opportunity to grab this high end phone with greatly reduced price.
