I have no problem with Amazon bringing out this phone (with some last gen specs) and slapping it with a $600 off contract price tag.
But why they think they are already on Samsung Or Apple's level is beyond me.

I just regard it a failure because of its marketing (price, distribution through one operator) and because of Amazon's goals regarding the phone. The phone is made to attract more buyers and to sell more items at Amazon.

For me, this phone is a fail. It is already dead before arrival. Limited availability paired with phone's no exceptional features and intrusive hard selling equals guaranteed failure.

Spec wise for this phone is OK for a beginner. As iPhone 6 is looming I think a 5" screen is better than 4.7". And also please trim the large bezel so the the phone will look nicer.

I am using kindle fire hd 8.9". The biggest problem amazon market, I cannot purchase even free apps without credit card information. another problem you can only use this devices few country USA UK etc. if fire phone have all this problem then it is useless device to buy.

@celldoctor, which smartphone company gives you 32 gb rom @12000/- and 64 gb rom @ 18000/- with 2 gb rem 13 megapixel rear camera and 2.2 ghz quad core processor.
if anyone gives i will leave this phone free for you.
