They are good phones, BUT the Fire operating system is EXTREMELY limited. Fire Phone apps are EXTEMELY limited.
Especially since Amazon abandoned the Fire phone.
The ONLY way I would recommend buying & using one is if you are willing & able to follow Youtube videos on how to make an end run around the Fire OS & install Google Play & then have access to Google apps. I did & I was successful.

naqvi, 07 Sep 2016I have upgraded to 4.6.6.1 and all the problems I was facin... moreI converted my amazon to android 4.4.4 but most of the google play apps don't work. Specially camera apps like snapchat, beautyplus and now my b612 is also not working. Only shows me black screen when i try to use my camera. My flash light also doesn't work :(

I have upgraded to 4.6.6.1 and all the problems I was facing are resolved. Google play services and all the apps which relied on google play services are working just like stock android phone.
Its a good phone with pretty decent hardwares
