Android 7.1.2 update starts hitting Xperia X Concept units

Himanshu, 19 April 2017

In line with what it promised, Sony has released the Android 7.1.2 update to the Xperia X units that are part of the Japanese company's Concept for Android program.

The update - which is live on the Experimental track - also features Bluetooth improvements and alerts related to battery usage. In addition, it also makes camera start-up times faster.

There's, however, a known-limitation: the Setup Wizard only supports WiFi currently.

It's sad that this update is only for single sim model (F5121). I hope I won't be stuck with Android 7.0 for long as I have dual sim variant (since Sony usually update software faster than other companies).
