Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Star is in the works
Remember Samsung's cheap featurephone Star lineup? It seems the series is getting a reboot and this time it'll be getting a proper OS.
As the latest rumor has it Samsung is developing a low-end smartphone called Galaxy Star with similar specs to the Galaxy Y but running on Android Jelly Bean.
The alleged specs sheet includes a 3.0-inch QVGA display, a 2megapixel snapper, 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot and the usual connectivity options - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Samsung Galaxy Star model number should be GT-S5282 and the smartphone is rumored to hit the shelves in mid-April (week 15). The announcement will probably take place at the upcoming MWC in Barcelona.
