Is it still worth buying now? There are pretty good deal available for this model, still has proper software support, pretty much same everything as the newer iPads (minus the fancy SOC).

Takes 4-5 hours to fully charge with a 10W charger. And it's about half the speed (measuring launch speed of about 10 apps I use often) of a Lenovo Tab4 10, which has half the antutu score and sells at less than half the price.
I find it annoyingly slow, so tend to use a newer iPhone instead of the iPad Air. Using it as a backup when the iPhone needs charging. If you want an iPad, you should get a newer version. However, it does run the latest iOS for the time being.
Had mine for 3 years, and battery is still reasonable. No need to charge daily for average use.

I have to tell you
I have this ipad since 2015 and I’ve never change it because for me it’s apple’s best ipad
The only problem, it don’t do a lot of things that new ipads do.
It crack a lot but i guess it will take a long of time until it die forever

IOS 11 made my iPad Air slow and buggy. The best IOS was 8 and it's getting progressively worse since then.

Done do the update for my ipad air.
From iOS 11.0 - 11.1 is a quite buggy make a Apps crashed.
Another iOS update 11.2 I quite fixed the bug.
