In 2019 it is still an excellent choice, it is very fast, with keyboard and mouse you can feel the sensation of using a notebook, in addition (through an accessory) you can have HDMI output.
The main difference with a Macbook or notebook is the operating system, which although there are IDEs and tools to develop, I would not recommend it.
On disadvantage ? mm .. even the price does not seem to be a disadvantage, it can be obtained for 600 USD, and in technical aspects it has no defects.

Even though I love my iPad pro 10.5, I don’t recommed going for it. There’s a couple of videos showing this issue in youtube and Its kinda frustrating why apple has not taken any action on this issue yet

I totally like my 10.5 especially now that I got iPadOS 13.1 today. It is very interesting to say the least now that I have that new update. I enjoy my iPad Pro 10.5.

Tab S3 wins here.I got Amoled phones for my daily driver but i prefer IPS LCD for my tablet due to longer display on time but working and gaming. Having screen burn in on tablet is annoying i think. I see considerable number of iPad user still cling on their iPad 2 and iPad 3. I dont think many Samsung devices especially the Amoled ones will stand on 1 or 2 years without burning the amoled pixels and got color shifting

-120Hz refresh rate display which makes everything you do 2x smoother (you will not be able to go back once you use it)
-better if you will use Apple Pencil as it feels smooth like writing on paper due to 120Hz
-4 speakers for stereo sound instead of 2 making it sound like a Bluetooth speaker
-4gb ram instead of 3gb
-higher screen brightness of 600 cd/m2
-it has a superb 12mp camera with quad led with 4K recording instead of 8mp without 4K
-Most cost effective when considering features and price
