This is the turning point when devices are uselessly powerful and getting too expensive for not giving enough value.
It's cheaper and easier to create advanced hardware devices than apps that could utilize its power.
The support of device should be as long as customer demands not when company decides.

display is the biggest difference but other than that it is not that different from previous generations. oh and lets not forget that it's only compatible with the pencil pro and 2nd gen magic keyboard

M2 alone is bottlenecked by iPadOS. M4 is gonna be even more bottlenecked by it. Yea, Pro iPhones and iPads are for professionals but professionals should just use a MacBook instead of this. They have a larger library of more demanding apps that can utilize more of the processing power in here.
iPad Air 5 (used) is the best iPad to get, being honest. Expecting it to be around 430-480 USD
