this fone is not an automatic machine that it would do everything for u without any endeavour. i thing u r a lucy one who possesses this kind of a unique piece.
go to installer and find all sorts of applications that will make ur life most comfortable. everything is possible these days with iphone.
sim openning ? that much of hardship u have to do man.

This phone is not user friendly. my biggest mistake to buy it.
1) You cannot access your sim contacts on this fone.
2) If you put in your sim you need a pointed thing to open that sim box
3) You cannot forward your text messages

the battery life is very good compare to my nokia n 95 which I could say as much as I loved the phone before I got it I hated it afterwords battery is the worst ever. iPhone is very good

Please make sure you are using Installer.app v3.0 (or higher and NOT 3.0b followed by a number) and Community Sources v3.4 (or higher). this application has a latest update.
wedict .9 is compatible with 114 fw and probably it will not work in 111.

1. Can iPhone view the office documents (like word, excel,...)?
2. Can view pdf documents (Acrobat)?
3. Can generate an office document?

when i was using 111, one day i found "erica " updated all her softwares for 113. i was really annoyed on her. she came out with an excuse that the developer wanted it. he was undone. this compelled me to upgrade to 113 and then to 114. now app-patches are also available to get 113 softs to work in 114.

there are some softwares which have upgraded for 111 and 114. some of the software initially worked for 111 and after upgrade it will install in 111 but will not work. now i remember, wedict has been updated for 114 and now shows a different dispaly in the desktop of the fone. the yellowish desktop is no more there. new wedict has more option to select the type of dict right from the destop.
alas! hal, to get wedict, u need to go to 114 fw.

once u install bsd subsystem, u cannot uninstall it.

sync and try recovery mode and restore. so long u dont dowload update, ur fone will remain in current fw version.

fw111 , ok. when i had v111, i installed wedict n it worked fine. vt100 is writing command in the c drive. bsd subsystem is needed for some prog, like MIM (make it mine). yesterday i lost foto icon from the display, i had to restore my fone. if u restore , itune will probably upgrade to 1.1.4. so, what u do.
try this, go to recovery mode, which will erase all data, and restore ur current fw.
try this.
why not restore and upgrade to 1.1.4. and then unlock, activate and jailbreak. i told u before, u need high download speed for that. 162.2 mb of file!!!
u can also try this, uninstall all software that u installed, go to reset from setting, erase all setting. reinstall wedict and see what happens.
so far i had updated twice and restored my fone twice.

hi stranger,
when i sync my iphone with itunes, it says versions 1.1.1 i take that is my fw?
i installed wedict 0.9
term vt100 or
bsd subsystem 2.0 termfix got anything to do with my problem?

iphone has a very strong heart, it does not die easily. my 8gb,1.1.4 collasped twice but came back again.

read the procedure to go to recovery mode. i need not to explain it here as much has been discussed abt it. if u r in older than 1.1.4, then ur fone will restore and update to 1.1.4, remember. this will take a long time if ur internet speed is not fast enough. it takes about 2 hours for me with 30 kpbs download speed.

hi dan,
noproblem. go to recovery mode. connect ur fone with pc and itune. click restore. all data will be erased.
u will see itune logo and a cable. itune will take care. once restore is done, if u r not using at&t sim, it will lock. no matter. run ziphone to unlock, activate and jailbreak.

You have to jailbreak the iPhone's file system in order to put software (games included) on it.

My Iphone crashed today :(( the display suddently turned black, he look like still open, but it's dead... I'll wait until he runs out of battery and I'll try to open it back... hope it works. Somebody knows something about this?? PLEASE HELP... it 8GB iphone...

this fone possesses a good numbers of ad-on features now. initially, i was also frustrated like u. it's not over-rated,but it's a classic piece. u must agree, no other fone is like iphone. it is unique. these days there so many numbers of softwares are available that u get tempted, which one to be rejected.
there could have been some more sofistication in areas, like camera, 3g, video etc.
