it also lacks a decent internet browser, MMS, picture messaging, more advanced bluetooth, a radio, and 3G
im sorry but what kind of smartphone doesnt let you install your own applications and isnt 3G

this is the best phone iv ever had! lacks 'amazing' camera or video recordin but WHO CARES?! especialy wen its this good lookin. lol

i have iphoone here in Calif about 3 months..And never freezing..Maybe you need talk with apple for fix or exchange...

Good for you but the market thinks different, we have FIVE Iphones and they do not freeze, maybe your state of mind is incompatible with Apple success.

it doesnt do anything revolutionary at all. And the iphone i used kept freezing up.

Apple's market share in both the computer and cell phone markets is hitting highs according to Net Applications.
Last month the Mac OS had 6.8% market share, compared to 5.39% for November 2006. This represents the highest market share in Apple's steady climb, which appears to be almost directly proportional to a slightly declining Microsoft Windows installed base.

In addition, Net Applications has issued an interesting report stating that the iPhone has quickly overtaken Microsoft's Windows Mobile as the most used mobile OS on the web.
We've been tracking iPhone usage since its launch. Total web browsing on the iPhone has topped the web browsing on all Windows Mobile devices combined, as this report shows. This report is a listing of the top operating system versions in use. It is not a measure of units sold, but the share of users browsing the internet with the devices. The iPhone has had a dramatic rise in usage share in its short time on the market Is this due to a better user interface? Larger screen?

You are quite naive f you do not believe that Microsoft or any other entity that has access to your digital data retains information from you, at least Apple is being upfront and honest about it.
When you go online you have no idea of how much information you release about yourself and how many government and private entities are watching you...

MMMM does it REALLY monitor personal data? What rights to privacy issues if Apple openly state they may collect personal data and credit card info? I think its an amazing machine but i am concerned about these bits of code as found by the power user and reported on gsmarena news board.

iPhone to be released in australia in january 18th 2008 on telstra, then iPhone is to be released on the 1st Febuary 2008 on Telecom GSM network (Newly released network to be the carrier of the iPhone)

Download the latest version of smsd version 0.04. It allows forwarding to single & multiple contacts as well as forward to numbers not in the contacts. Thanks Amrut Joshi.

i liked your sentence "please just try and open your small minds to what a difference the iPhone is going to make to the industry!"
this is what i also belive, iphone will be the first start for a new mobile generation, mobile technology will be changed very soon after everyone shall realize that the iphone is not a normal phone we used to use for the last 10 or 15 years.

first time i brought the i phone i was so happy i used it for almost 6 or 7 months i never tried to use a nokia or a s.e. even though i had those now im pretty bored with the i phone cuz nothings changed just the same i phone i brought at first ... i play videos i play music thats all i do with it ... i think the last time i called someone is two three weeks ago ... i should have brought something else ... but im too late ... :-(

hey all again,
Just watching this forum over the last few weeks it seems to me that the only people who are bad mouthing the iPhone are people who can't afford it or who are just to slow to understand it. Now I had the OLD "god phone" the n95 for 6 months and then I brought my iPhone. Now unlike the n95 the iPhone doesn't crash all the time. also I don't have to wait for the phone because its so slow like the n95. You iPhone haters can keep your plastic "jack off all trades" n00b sticks and I will enjoy my nice shine iPhone. Ummm I could give my n95 to charity but I don't think they would accept it! But joking a side please just try and open your small minds to what a difference the iPhone is going to make to the industry!

Damn apple phone. You can't get anything from the reviews, because they are likely to be biased, and people only comment if they are obsessed with loving or hating them.

if id doesnt have the features you want,
then go buy some other massive ugly phone.
iphone has great 3rd party support.
nes games, gba games, etch a sketch, ect.

Is it ture that the iPhone is only AT&T ie it cannot have a sim inside it, so that one can switch connections! i mean while having the same phone! please do tell!

There's going to be another big firmware update this febuary which will enable the iphone to send mms messages flashplayer and lots more great features but for those who has unblocked the phone to other networks will be doomed because not only will it brick the phone it will disable everything on the phone, Looking forward to the new firmware :-) can't wait
