nj3. the battery on the i phone is not any better than the n95. i read this forum all the time. if i happened to overuse my phone during the day without my car charger, i could also have a fully charged battery on hand . take out one battery, then pop in the fully charged battery. i would like to see you try that one on the i phone. you can't. plus i have a memory card in my n95, that i could transfer at any time to another phone if i ever so desired! i read on the forum's here once that taking your sim card out of the i phone lock's the i phone. if that is true then that is nonsense!

nj3. i don't lie either, like you accused me of once. i know there is a battery issue, like i have also heard about the i phone. people have to realise whether using the i phone or the n95 you can't use it constantly during the day. gps you charge it while driving, nothing hard about that. wifi will draw more battery power on i phone and n95, but for me i have never had i battery problem. lot's of satisfied user's with the N95!! now N95 8gig with even a stronger battery and double the ram. i still don't even need this n95 8gig cause my n95-1 work's fine.

N95 still it does not have a kitchen sink which is VERY important,
what you have to accept is that there are MILLIONS of satisfied Iphone user for the overall services easy of use interface thanks to the OSX Apple operating system, no good to have too many features that people won't use and make life VERY complicated for the average user in terms of settings and user experience.
Using the Iphone is understanding what a good job it does.
Speculating on specs alone is not really possible.

q{U@ I NEVER lie. i simply copied and pasted a report on the N95
blog, probably from a user that doesn,t even know the Iphone exists
read all reports and you will see that there is a battery problem.

right now the iphone doens have any SDK(software dev kit) so the apps are all webapps(you have to use with safari)...it doesnt have any standard pdf viewer or office suite and cannot view or edit(unless its through email attachments) so i cant put a pdf file on my iphone and open it..and Yes u cant receive anything via bluetooth...its only for the headset...REASON!

yaxj. i guess you don't need flash for the camera or auto focus or bluetooth transfer or free music or voice dialing or fm radio or a2dp or a mp3 with some volume or sms forwarding or navigation. yeah sure whatever you say all other phone's suck. you put alot of intelligent thought into what you just wrote.

best phone ever. Don't need 3G or video so the phone is perfect for me. All other brands currently suck compared to this phone.

nj3. do not have battery issue's with my n95. use gps abit during the day , mp3, call's, still full bar's.

I am not sure whether my phone is falty but the stand by and talk time are NO MORE THAN 24hours stand by and 3 hours talk time which is rubbish.

WiMAX is a wireless digital communications system, also known as IEEE 802.16, that is intended for wireless "metropolitan area networks". WiMAX can provide broadband wireless access (BWA) up to 30 miles (50 km) for fixed stations, and 3 - 10 miles (5 - 15 km) for mobile stations. 3G for Iphone:
Emailing works well on edge, 3G would mean a lot of battery power being used, I noticed after several weeks of practical use that the easy way you connect on open WI FI networks at home office school or public places do not make you feel you are missing something in terms of browsing. When you are out driving do you really want to browse the internet ? To do that you need to sit in a comfortable place and focus on the web.
I think the compromise is good and I believe that in the Apple tradition of implementing leading edge standards it would be best to go straight to WI MAX rather than 3G which is a standard that after all has not really delivered what it promised to begin with.
Video calling is NOT widely used and it slows down a lot when the cells are crowded with users.

This demonstrates that the N95 is a phone with a lot of features, but kind of over engineered, the good thing about the Iphone which I like more and more as I use it for several weeks now is the compromise of good performance and ease of use. Sure it could have a few more thigns, but practical terms it delivers a very good phone service, email, and internet browsing with the excellent user interface of OSX, and with the upcoming software update many of the missing things could very well become a reality, like full bluetooth file transfer and video camera.

Hi everyone
im now on my 3rd Nokia N95 from the 02 network
(as you probably all know from my previous postings)
the first 2 handsets had high pitch whining noise and awful sliders which were wobbling on the right hand side, appaulling workmanship, i dont even know how they were allowed to leave the Nokia Factory like this!
maybe the workers were all drunk or something?
it isnt only me thats complained of these faults, check all the other forums about the N95!
anyway, my 3rd handset has been working ok
(or so i thought)
everything was working fine, no wobbly slider, no whiny noise..
but about 3 - 4 times per day as of 3 days ago, the phone just restarts itself when it`s just sat there!!!
WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING ?
have i now got to send this CRAP handset back aswell?
i dont want to drive 20 miles to nearest Nokia Service Centre, WHY should i ????
i also left my house this morning at 5.30am to take a friend to the Airport, the phone was unplugged from the Charger with full battery life, i used the N95`s sat nav to get there and back, its now 9.35am and i have 2 bars left on the battery life!!
truly appauling if you ask me
