It is a revolutionary phone in design, concept and usage..very futuristic. I have seen a demo and deeply impressed. I use a blackberry...but wouldn't mind having this toy!

      Bad Bob,

Don't buy an iPhone and certainly don't buy three. I don't want this product to be for the masses. Just like Macintosh. It is not for all. It is for a dedicated group of people that wants to be different.

I see loads of new "unreleased" demo devices pass through my company from different manufacturers but nothing is like the iPhone. A new SEMC or Nokia device is fun for about 30 seconds. I am still thrilled after one month with my iPhone.

It is just that we are different personalities.

      You - mainstream
      Me - different

Don't buy the iPhone - stay with your SEMC device. It's your choice.

Don't waste your money, it does less than the average cell phone. Apple created hype and people fell for it.

If the phone has wifi, I don't think 3G or HSDPA is a big deal. I think Edge connection is good enough to retrieve you emails or use the google map to help you find the location. Use the wifi if you want to browse in the internet. The Iphone make your life easier.

hmm, let's see... the touch-screen idea was amazing, but, no 3G, no HSDPA, no video-call, no expandable memory card, no organizer, bad messaging software, no sms delivery report, and many more cons.
well, i definitely not want it.
and i doubt that it would sell well here in my country, coz many people here love the 3G features very much.
IMO, apple should learn from other phone manufacturers, since they have more experiences for making good cellphones.

Is there any GSM carrier in the US that provides a 3g connection and if there's one, how much? I'm just wondering why most of the critics wants a 3G when in fact an Edge connection will do the job for you to retrieve your basic email or to use a google map to find a location.

N95 does not even have a touch screen nor a stylus. How is that? How can you compare apple and orange?

I agree with what Bad Bob said earlier.

"Steve Jobs claimed it was the thinnest smartphone ever. WRONG (its not even a smartphone for does who think it is, it is a multimedia phone)
he claimed it has a software breakthrough at least five years more advanced than its competitors WRONG again (the iphone even lacks features on basic phones)
iPhone lacks a number of other handheld features that have not already been mentioned and are common in competing devices, including voice dialing, voice recording, instant messaging, a memory card slot, MMS, tethering, A2DP, common Bluetooth file transfer (OBEX), GPS capability, copy and paste, native games, support for MP3 files as ringtones, and it can not even film video. it lacks 3G, HSCSD, HSDPA, and it can be HACKED. other people can take control of this phone!
How usefull are its fancy features such as acceleremeter for auto-rotate? not very. are you going to rotate your phone all day? it has a touchscreen keyboard slower than an actual one. multi input useful? it makes the phone more friendly to your fingers but this feature is present in other phones and there are other fancy features it lacks, TouchFLO, VueFLO, Drag and drop, Vibetonz, handwriting recognition.
all music and videos must be loaded from itunes, so you just lose even more money :-) (iTunes + iPhone = iProfit)
if you want a multimedia phone like the iphone, get the Sony Ericsson W960.
if you want a phone mostly because of its camera get an XCute with 8MPx or the Samsung with 10MPx
if you want a good smartphone look at HTC, Qtek, i-mate, O2, Dopod. HTC is the worlds no1 smartphone provider. Qtek, i-mate, O2, Dopod are just different names for HTC.
i i have enough money to buy 3 iPhones if anyone can convince me that it is worth it, against all i hv just said, ill buy 3 iphones

                                  Bad Bob"

i dont what people see in the iphone

It depends how you prefer to use the phone, if you will use mostly on retrieving email, web browsing and basic phone calls I think you are better off with the Iphone. N95 is a good phone but the maximum capacity of the battery is not enough to supply all the needs to operate. If you will use primarily in taking pictures and gps and phone calls go with the N95. I owned both of them but I'm leaning towards the Iphone.
