Good luck to people that buy this phone and their battery stuffs up after 12 months like most ipods do. No removable battery means another expensive apple paperweight

Got it !!!
Just finished synch' all my music contacts photos etc - it's a breeze!
Everything works as advertised and better!
coverflow, picture and web pages "pinching' is awesome! Web is slow on edge.google maps, wow!
3 biggest surprises:
- bright, crispy contrasty screen at resolution at 160 pp
- typing on virtual keyboard ..is great and fast! with zero mistakes.
- smoothness and speed of jumping between so many features..no bugs !

...actually i heard the announcement that the us launch of the iphone would be $1400 over 2 years!! is it reported wrong? that is very expensive but what did we really expect from apple? jacking the price based on an unproven reputation for producing mobile phones...

Brand Phones arent really reconmmended.
1. You could Waste Lots of money
2. G500, N91, e65, and others hav emore features and better software. Btw Iphone no UTMS or anything special.. ALL BASIC..
3. Features are not much.. But i guess people like Brands. = \
Its an Ok Phone from Apple. Just more income for them = ]

I still think that SE W960 will be the iphone killer. You have to consider that this is Apple's trial and error effort to be part of the Wireless Communication era. So, bugs will be all over it and...I'm just not an Apple lover...Good luck Apple though,but at the end of the day SE will still rock the GSM world.

i will be wait for 2nd or 3rd edition of iphone .. waiting for 3G network supporting .. and card slot maybe ..
its bad that is dose not support 3G network .. which mean no fast internet connection ,, no video calls ..

yes , u can buy the iphone and activate it with att, without penalties,i dont think they will give u a discount if u already get one, and if they do give a discount u may have to renwel your contract.
att its a good company , wich is not good is the kind of the cell phone u are using.

Any information about how to activate or sync the iPhone you can find it in apple's webpage. And yes it can ONLY be used with At&t as carrier. One thing I was wondering, it doesn't take a gsm chip, does it?

QUESTION: If you are halfway or just recently got a new phone from at&t can you still activate this phone? Will it just restart your contract but without penalties?? Beacuse you just buy this phone (which is non-subsidized at full retail price with no rebates) and activate with itunes online...

Ha ha ha! Oh dear. The iphone can't even send or recieve MMS! HAHA! Its terrible. And it doesnt accept sim cards. Its locked to its preset network and cannot be unlocked. Battery cannot be taken out to!

This phone is too expensive and doesn't what the price. In few months time apple will come out with a better version... staying, **there is no upgrade for this IPHONE unless u get the pro advances 2008 Iphone, which have better features***

today 29.06.2007 the phone was lunched here in Canada.price 499 with contract and 599 with out .

NO 3G? I know it has WiFi connection, but...it doesen't any 3G internet protocols! I know it's not very important, but NECESARY. But it has a GOOD screen & memory space..And it's a kynde of CHICH...

Oh, I also forgot to say that the dumbest thing that Apple did was team with AT&T aka Ma Hell with the worst customer service and help line period. It would have been much better to have used Verizon which is under Vodafone Group, but if they wanted to stay GSM then T-Mobile which with there myfaves would have made them a killer deal and they provide 3G which there data plan is cheaper then AT&T and faster plus for the traveler they would not be screwed when they go overseas with T-Mobile, for those desparate for this system At&t was definitely the wrong

Hey folks the iPhone is is pretty, yes is it a cool innovation for the US yes, for the rest of the world a definite not, especially since iPhone is 2G but they will release a 3G version for Europe and Asia later in the year. For my European and Asian partners its a cute phone but thats about it, now you guys will probably get better functions since Apple will not make any major headway selling the current version in Europe and Asian which already are years ahead of the US in phone's service and quality. So if you are an American wait till its released in Europe and you will receive a better product.
