This PDA seems to be a great gadget, but because it's a new concept, i doubt that this one will be so great. Only after a lot o "guinee pigs" have bought it and their complaints about it will be noted, Apple will make a really great PDA. That's my opinion, and it would really help me if you'll buy this device, because you will be the reason they will make a better one, that i will buy :P

The screen is very big I wonder if it's safe to have this mobile in pocket.
If you operate it by touching the screen I wonder how does it look like after one day of using. Any cleaning accessories included? :)
I also wonder how does it work in temperatures below zero - is the screen "fast" too? How to operate it with the glove on the hand? :)

No questions about it. This is THE phone to have. I can't wait until it's 2008 Australian debut.

Iphone touchscreen will be different from any other PDA Window Mobile, touchscreen more like iPod screen only much better (unlikely leaves a fingerprint), navigate and operate the phone is much faster than any other smartphone (SE, Window OS, and Nokia)with real solid Mac OS X v.10.4.8.

Text input is fast, easy and convenient as it use multitouch technology means better than any PDA with stylus (allow u to text notes or sms simultaneously).

I dont suggest u guys to sms while driving a car (PDA user surely hv problem with this), but im pretty sure we can still use Iphone with one thumb.

Ok for people who doesnt like Iphone good luck with ur old fashioned phone, smartphone, and junky PDA, for i still hv to wait 2008 for Asia Iphone to be release ( u Americans dude is so luckyyyy.....)

The iPhone indeed moves that fast.

It is speculated to have 3 ARM processors to power the many sensors and overall interface.

                  Here are the commercials again.

This phone will be huge. If apple knows one thing it's how to launch killer consumer product at the right time (some lessons learned in the past me thinks). If it actually functions at the speed in the ads, then it will blow everything away; N95 and P1 included. My P990 is as slow as dog and I won't be moving to the P1 if the iPhone is available at upgrade time. Hmm, if it's as good as it looks I might even pay good money (which I have never done in the UK). Nokia and SE beware.
People talk about the next MP3 player being an iPod killer - I think this might be it. Speaking as one who doesn't own one - there are some of us who shuffle our mp3s on and off our phone rather than have another mp3 player and don't even mind if it's a bit chunkier - as long as we only need to carry one thing. No Edge? - no matter here, no 3G? - I've not noticed the difference so no biggie either. 2MP Camera?, 3.2 would have been nice but I can live with that until I upgrade to the iPhone nano :)

Can anyone explain me on what depends that a cellphone works in one country before than others? The "unlocked" term will not work for the iPhone?
I'm from Southamerica (Chile), and we'll have to wait until end 2008.......quite a lot, so I'll apprecite if you could explain me if there's no chance for me to get an iPhone before 2008.
                            Thanks!!

Over 120 a phone becomes too heavy...

I think it's a nice phone and all but to all the texters out there, this phone will definately take some getting used to.
I text alot and when I had a touchscreen phone with no keypad, you literally need two hands and great precision to text on the go and not to mention your full attention (ie. when driving lol).

Looks quite nice (the unlock function looks really innovative) and I like features like a standard headphone jack, but a 2mp camera is poor for what will be a high end phone with a massive price tag, and the lack of 3G, memory card slot and IRDA are all negatives. Touch screens are also problematic and fingerprint magnets- this phone looks like style over substance. It'll be interesting to have a play with, but I'm definitely not crazy about it and wouldn't use it as my mobile.

Agree...this phone will be trendsetter in the future like Mr. Steve Jobs said "every once in a while we need a revolutionary product". This will wide open other phone manufacturer "eyes" on how to make real phone based on consumer needs not just some lousy phone we've been used all this time.

For those who thinks this is a "toy" well congratulation to u, be my guest if u buy this toy for your child but only if u can afford it Dudeee.... That thought only represent how narrow ur knowledge bout mobile technology....
