With the new 16GB NAND memory chips, we might see the second version with 16GB memory. Iphone has a lot of ways open for improvement for next generations. If the rumor is true, I heard that the battery could be split into two separations. One for phone and one for entertainment so that you don't play so much music that you drain your battery and end up not being able to make calls.

This is going to be the best phone. Even Microsoft CEO is scared of it so he keeps making nasty comments on how it will fail. I foresee what happened to iPod happening again (taking over). Everyone including microsoft keeps copying others. Only apple sat down and thought- How can I make the phone feel more natural? That is how they came up with the interface (flick, pinch and rotatate and so on....) The iphone is not perfect but for afirst generation I can say its way better than Windows mobile on its 6th generation.

this is a phone with a greate storage capacity 4/8 gb memory ,is not other phone in the world who haves this amount of space ,why do spmebody things that this phone need a card slot?
i don,t have one personaly but i thing doesn,t need a card slot

Hey... I worked on PC for like 10 years now... and when it was to buy a MAC, ppl around me were like "no way dude... what will you do with it.. what can it do and the IBM-PC can't ?"... well now I'M on MAC OS and I tell u: Windows Sucks... you continue buy WindowsCE phones... we like iPHONE !
I Can't wait to get my hand on one of that !!!!!!!!!!!

i know apple well... and they will say that the iphone is the first on do a thing... but i know that a loot of other phones already have all those tech since a loot of time... like REAL internet... the only new thing that brick have is the dual touch screen, but everything else... we all know that other brands have those features... and i have to say... i really like the phone... but... what really stop me from buy one is... did u ask yourself about the battery? it will be like the iPod? a 1 year cell phone?... i dont want something like that...

People keep complaining about memory not being upgradable. How many phones out there can be upgraded to more than 8GB which you can get on an iPhone? Read specifications people please!!!

Both GSM and CDMA as well. The european version will be featured with GSM support only, and the American with both. ;)

i've gone through many of the comments and opinions on iPhone lately and they are amusing, some actually made me laugh. these ppl have no idea about Apple, just no idea. i don't think many of them ever came near and had chance to use apple products or Macs. If they had they would just go blind to get and grab iPhone as another amazing hi-tech stuff. Well you'll never know what these techno geeks at apple lab are doing. I think with their innovation they will keep surprising us, even our imagination. you need to know apple is the one who brought home pc come into life in 1976, apple brought the first GUI, Macintosh, in 1984; where Microsoft is alleged for piracy (Windows) and they paid a great penalty for that i.e., 150 million dollars. Apple brought so many things now u know are of Microsoft's. And using Mac OS is just an experience of a life time. I am a creative professional and got expertise in cross platforming with Macs and PCs for my profession's sake but nothing on earth can make me convinced that anything from Microsoft are better cuz in reality it is not. Apple never made false claims as Microsft did, even for Vista...and for most of us Vista is a crap. I think coming june will make everyone's big mouth just shut. i wonder why there are so many crappy remarks when the iPhone is not yet launched, as if they are more than experts on iPhone of which they never got to touch even or see in daylights. You need to know it's all about Apple, it's all about steve jobs. A company, a man u can depned on. and for iPhone I don't find anything more trustworthy than Apple. Lets wait and see, who got what to offer...

this is a great phone/pda and all but no one knows what its true features are and are capable of doing. plus with this phone u dont have to buy a mobile phone with wi-fi and an i-pod. so with the iphone ever thing i there for the user and alot of thought is put into building a phone like this.

Can one simply use this iPhone device as a WiFi Internet Access Device only even if one does not have a Cingular cell phone account? (In the USA, of course.)
Cingular coverage in my area is not as good as Verizon. I was thinking of carrying my Verizon Razr phone for cell phone service, but then also carry an iPhone for WiFi Internet access? Does anyone know if the iPhone's WiFi and Safari Browser can still be used even if one does not have a Cingular SIM card and a Cingular account? Will the phone's features be locked out without a SIM and Cingular service? Thank you.

iPhone has tv out, it has the iPod dock connector
iPhone Quad band and Edge
For Euro market iPhone does need HSDPA, and a 3.2MP camera, with auto-focus and flash
Yes iPhone has Flash for youtube, safari is on the iPhone, same as Mac OS X
