curious, 22 Oct 2019i'm currently using samsung A3 since 2015..planning to buy ... moreI was like you a few years back. Before i buy iPhone 7. Endless cycle of Androids. Always looking at specs and comparing the endless camera, screen, benchmarks.. Sometimes changing 2 phones a year, selling one at a loss and buying the next.

At first it was restricting. But slowly i grow my Apple products, apps i like, watch, airpods, ipads, making my iPhone more enjoyable.

I dropped my telco plan last year, sim only. I no longer chase the latest mobiles. And now i look forward to 2020 iPhones, which i will buy full price without telco plans.. If it does not impress me, so be it, i will wait again.. maybe go for a 69$ battery change, don't look like my iPhone is giving up anytime soon.

I have purchased note 10 and using it for a month and really loving it.....before purchasing i was confused too like u between iphone 11 and note 10.

I visited both samsung smartcafe and apple store to see the live display of both phones and their cameras too...but honestly i didn't feel much difference in camera section.....u will be getting 3 lens at rear on s10 but on xr u will be having single lens.....and for selfie cam u will not regret after buying s10 it can produce exceptional shots both front and rear cameras..

And if u see the display of s10 u won't be looking back at xr

But both the phones are good now it is upto u what u will be going for android or ios

curious, 22 Oct 2019i'm currently using samsung A3 since 2015..planning to buy ... moreOf all the phones you suggested. XR's camera is not really rival that of S10. But its 12mp shooter is not bad either.

Camera to me have reached a stage so good, that any new improvement is not much, and can be tweaked by tons of apps on iOS or android.

Better invest in a smart watch. rather then a new phone. So you can place your phone on a
floor, take group pictures better with the back facing camera, and triggering from your wrist.

Of course its gonna be tough for you if you pick the apple route, a new iPhone and watch.. most likely will break your bank. But in the long run, its worth it.. apple watch have tons of apps integration, and a great camera remote app. But it lacks one feature.. toggle from the various modes using the watch. for instance from picture to video, you need to use your phone.

Going Android would be better, wait for a phone + watch deal. get it cheap.. But the apps are far and few between. The quality is not as integrated like iOS.

Whilst the s8 was good the s10 somehow manages to make the s8 feel old and inferior and has an even better display. The s8 actually feels a little dull against the s10 and the new facial recognition works perfectly. My wife has an ph11 and my display is far superior.

They are both good although the display on the s10 is superior. Neither of us has used the camera yet so unable to comment on that. Your decision may come down to whether you prefer android of ios.

i'm currently using samsung A3 since 2015..planning to buy new phone, i have been eyeing:
1)samsung s10(really like the customization, fingerprint, display and most importantly the 3.5mm headphone really gets to me but quite expensive),
2)huawei nova 5T(midrange price, have ultrawide cameras which i like)
3)iphone xr (the price is cheaper than before, i have this hidden desire to buy iphone but i'm afraid with certain things i read about in iphone you cant really customize or have much freedom....buttt iphone camera is bomb)

i really prioritize cameras actually so yes i'm in dilemma..s10 i love it but i dont really like samsung selfie camera as it doesnt look natural like iphone..please help me anyone if have suggestion

But if you are afraid of the fingerprint issue, it would better if you settle for Note 9 or S10e. Both have relatively good biometric unlock, with 9 being the better one because its jack of all biometrics. Note 9 intelli scan, which combine iris scanning and normal face scanning is bad at low light, fingerprint scanning.., S10E fingerprint is on the power button.

11 have no issue when it comes to biometric, it can scan in low light, it can scan at angle, and fast when compared to Note 9 scanning.

Not much in performance, S10 and 11 are blazing fast.. Both can play the latest games with no issue.

Both have good display, Both have the irritating notch / punch holes. S10 excel at low light dim place usage, 11 have "thick bezels" (compared to other bezel less phones lol) to hide the fact of the LCD screen might have light bleeding.

Screen protectors you need to be careful with S10, because of the under screen scanner. Some of the seller will purposely have a circular hole, so you can use the fingerprint properly. 11 have no such issue, and you can get S10E to avoid this all together.

And if you come from S8 (not the plus model), 11 and S10 will have higher battery life. With 11 being much better.

S10 can expand until 1.5TB.. But unlikely you will buy the 1TB sd card.. but a good investment if you plan to use android for long long time. And of course Dex mode.

But since your previous phone is android, it will be a shock to switch.

So in summary:
1. Display S10
2. Camera 11
3. Biometric 11
4. Apps S10 (For you)
5. Battery life 11
6. Storage Options S10
7. Performance 11

Pixel you will be paying a premium for the price in android world.
Harder to get accessories for Pixel, due to its rarer to find.

Most people who think of pixel rather sink their money into other android makers due to the lack of slots, lack of storage options and price. I can hardly recommend pixel.. other then the fact is it nearly matches iOS in terms of updates.
