Was using Samsung s7. Got 10s max now,obviously android has alot of customisation and people keep on telling me better features of latest android flagships but iphone is simple and I like it.

The device is only there to drive the level of experience you want. You want a desktop experience? Mac. You want a wearable? Apple watch / Pods. You want portable productivity? Macbook / iPad. Each product type is optimised for that purpose only. And as of now, wearable, tablet productivity, Apple is still ahead the rest.
He already committed, bought an iPhone. There is no other choice other then help him realise how to move onward. Build up your list of apple devices, forget old ways of doing things, learn the new platform.
Of course, alternatively you can cry for bad choice, sell that iPhone, crawl back to android / windows.
I just want to share my experience. I started with iPhone 7. Stop the endless phone upgrade craze, stop the 2 year telco plan. Build up on Apple watch, pods and macbook.

I actually thought of getting a mac (notebook version) but then gave up on it for 2 reasons:
1- macbooks still have glossy screens, they don't come with a matte screen option
2- macbooks are not upgrade-able. they solder the rams and SDDs (I think) on the motherboard. so you need to decide if you need more ram or sdd space even before buying it on full price.
this is ridiculous considering the alternative notebooks that also come with full range of inputs and outputs on the sides of the laptops at much lower prices. I once had a laptop that lasted me 9 years. my current laptop is in its 6th year, still going strong. so macbook reliability is a marketing gimmick.

If you buy a Mac / iPad. You gain tons of Mac / iPad related features. SMS OTP automatically appears on your safari browser on your Mac. Cut and paste even without wifi, phone calls redirect to your mac, similar apps continues on Phone to Mac. Auto data tethering. Finder allows easy transfer of data between Mac and iPhone. iTunes is gone, and replaced with other apps.
If you buy an apple watch. You gain apple watch apps, stuff like "soundhound app" can id music with a press of your watch, without phone even turned on. One of the best health apps available, and with lte version, you can leave your phone at home.
If you buy a CarPlay Headset. You can navigate easily, and with shortcuts app, the nagivation becomes seemless, And auto connects as you turn on your car, no need to take iPhone out or do anything.
While there is Android alternatives, but its not as polish.
Thats why i always frown when people drop the highest priced iPhone.. without any other Apple products.. They will find it sorely underwhelming. I still use iPhone 7, i yet to find any upgrade urge.

old time android (from samsung note series) user here. I got this new iPhone 11 Pro Max. I was thinking of getting an iPhone for a long time because I never had it in its all previous series.
I think android flagship phones are better than iPhones. Because, basically you have more features with an android phone. The speed difference between iPhones and android flagship phones just does not worth getting an iPhone.
The case might be different with mid range or lower range android phones since they are slower and will get slower earlier in the following years. But, android flagship phones are just continuation of your PC in your hand. It is easier to use than an iPhone out of the box and you can just connect it to your PC in more ways when compared to an iPhone. Also customizability of android is unbeatable.
It is like: an iPhone has 5 features and it does them the best (5 out of 5) (talking on the phone is better, and its UI is overall very responsive). An android flagship phone has like 10 features but it does them very good (4 out of 5).

Because chipset is the processing unit for your phone. So if u have big capacity of ram but u have low spec chipset, u cant run a game smoothly at high setting. RAM is not for gaming, its for background apps that running on your phone.
