The first time I saw the iPhone X, I couldn't believe they would release something so damn ugly. Now it is 2 generations later and that damn notch is still ever present.
I tried to like it. I used an iPhone XS for 2 months and I just couldn't get over how jarring and ugly it looked everytime I picked up the phone. As so many other brands have shown, it is entirely possible to release a phone without a huge hideous notch, so the fact that Apple, the company that used to lead the way in design and innovation, is releasing such ugly designs and charging premium prices for it really baffles the mind. Guess people will just buy anything with an Apple name on it.
Watch them release an iPhone 12 with no notch and you will be remarking about how beautiful the phone is. Everyone knows it will come eventually, this is just Apple cashing in on outdated designs as they always do for as long as they possibly can.

I have noticed there is no major upgrade coming from iPhone XS MAX 2018 to this year iPhone 11 PRO MAX 2019
Same front design (notch)
Same 4 GB RAM
Same 64 GB ROM to choose minimum and above (price tag)
No 5G
No reverse wireless charging
New addition :
Additional 3rd Camera Lens (Ultra Wide)
Slight improved CPU
Slight improved GPU

all the answers are simple. Phones and Tablet are not the main focus on Apple Strategy are media consumption and bank industries. That´s why apple purchase Intel mobile division and soon hole Intel infraestructure. all mostly to gain market value to his new banking project and to have a cheaper production for mac os and ios line of products.
