After only using Android for over a decade I am considering an iPhone 12 this year; partially because I am tired of the fingerprint reader stopping in the winter due to chapped fingers and having to resort to the PIN - I want to use the FaceID.
Curious - I saw in settings on another video that there are two "faces" available for FaceID - the primary and alternative. If you consistently use the same style of mask, can't the alternative FaceID be used to record your face with a mask and won't that work?
All videos suggest that with the masks, the FaceID is not working and have you to resort to the PIN. I just want to resolve the reasons. (I mostly do not wear a mask and I am at home so I would expect the PIN to be less anyways).
