                Guys,
128GB is very low storage, those who do photography/videography.
don't know why apple not giving base model as 256Gb.

Other issue they messed my iPhone 13 device by latest update iOS 16.3.1, have to send to service center

Jagganatha, 15 Mar 2023The Apple problem is common to GSM Arena and its means of t... moreI have a feeling you're mixing traditional photography with these modern computional ones found on smartphones and they are similar but not quite the same. They can't be the same as phones will always have a few important limiting factors with their dimensions being the main one.

Anyways... From my understanding we shouldn't benefit from having a high pixel sensor only because we want more details. Not only because we won't get much more of it anyway, but because that's not the main reason why we have multi-bayer sensors in the first place.

The main reason is photography in dark or bad lighting situations. It all started with one Huawei phone and their great collab with Sony to make a custom sensor for their premium flagship phone. Can't remember was it P20 Pro or Mate 20 Pro but one of them came with, for that time a big 40MP 1/1.7" size quad bayer sensor with having for a very long time unmatched results in already mentioned very dark conditions. Since then everybody else just followed the suit.

P.S.: I like your idea about viewing and downloading taken photos using RAW files at their resolution on this site, so thumbs up for that 👍

                    Cheers!

Narazumono, 19 Feb 2023The "dynamic island" is a punch hole It's l... moreFrom my understanding almost all Android phones have a punch hole, or an island. Not dynamic one, just an island. Mostly in the shape of a round hole, so they're not exactly the same as on iPhones as punch holes on Android don't have another purpose then just being a hole in a screen for selfie camera.

You can also say iPhone's have a dynamic punch hole, because their hole or island is really a dynamic one.

                      Cheers!

The Apple problem is common to GSM Arena and its means of testing cameras generally. First we have sensors listed as specified by their manufacturer which these days means that they are all of them at a genuine resolution of a quater (quad Bayer) or a ninth (nano-Bayer ) etc resolution. Who wants to pay for a 48MP sensor when its GENUINE actual resolution is only 12MP?
This is an excellent website, BUT, it should in fact allow us to download and view photographs taken, preferably using RAW (dng?) files at their own resolution.
In the Apple 14 Pro/Max situation, Apple claim resolution of 48 Mp with what is in fact a 12MP quad bayer resolution common these days to hundreds of Android competitors. But this is only a fraction of the story as Jeremy Northrop points out because in real terms the 2x zoom the main "48MP" sensor delivers being only 12MP in reality leads to a very poor 3MP cropped central portion of the 12MP (Claimed to be 48MP) sensor.
I managed to find a pic of a highland cow made using Apple's Pro Res Raw sauce online, and made from a pukka pro photographer's image, which shows conclusively that, because of the pro res noise reduction operating that even were there 12MP resolution (which there definitely is NOT, that that resolution is being smoothed away in noise reduction totally. Apple present you with a very nice totally acceptable (on its own terms!!) image with great color, contrast, good enough dynamic range and absolutely no noise.
Now were this accompanied by detail resolution of 48MP nobody would be other than chuffede, but the fact of the matter is that the result whilst big in size, is tiny in detail, and this is a great shame that sends me running back to my Nokia 1020 with its ACTUAL 41MP sensor, just to reassure myself that alls right in the world, and that our creation is not anything like the dreadfully processed monstrosity these iPhones produce, but nearer to what the Creator intended.
To give you an idea.... in good light the 12MP sensor of the Nokia N8 from 2010 ish gives you more detail and resolution than these iPhones now do. Scary as you can buy one s/h for £50, not the price Apple charge for their machines.
Dont get me wrong, because ergonomically these iPhones are great with the bulk and flat sides making them easy to handhold steadily, and the 4K video is fine, and the apps are great, and the design is lush, and they are waterproof, but, as a still camera they are DESIGNED to be really Naff!! And it IS a deliberate choice by Apple because they could just as easily supply the iPhone with 3 ACTUAL 48MP sensors behind those cameras, that give the 48MP resolution modern smart TVs and printers demand.

All I can suggest is that GSM Arena respect its devotees rather more than the manufacturers do, by showing us in every case images from RAW files whenever possible and always at maximum resolution as do Dpreview, for example.

Not only is this phone big, chunky, awkward to use, it is absolutely hideous. Mind you, I have used this phone (256 gb) and the interface is cartoon-like with its big symbols.
