I liked to think of them as the iPhones of android, incredibly well built, brilliant cameras, great performance without any performance drops (even though people bashed the kirin chips) and really nice feature sets (yours came with the electromagnetic speaker under screen but it also could be used as a speaker unlike the p40 pro which was just for calls, plus yours had better call quality with it too).

Bionic Chip, 15 Sep 2022Yeah, 150GB could be enough for 4k video storage even witho... moreTbh yeah I'm a casual user so I don't really need anything more than decent 1080p/4k recording where as for yourself who does use 8k (I'm guessing you possibly need it for work or more of a hobbiest) editing with it probably is a nice extra thing to have and let's be honest, iphones have some of the best video recording on a phone (unless you get the Sony i-Pro with all the accessories).
I think for most of us the headphone jack and sd card slot aren't really needed anymore with good quality BT headphones and cloud but again for a professional/starting up in content creating who probably needs gigabytes/ terabytes of storage on the fly, having a device that just works in all conditions, has tonnes of space for raw editing and good microphones and high sample rates is a lot easier to do your job than needing multiple lenses, cameras and other accessories carrying around with you (plus more expensive).

you have to suffer, 15 Sep 2022sure i'd get a huawei but its hard to find in offline ... moreHuawei aren't partnered with leica anymore just Xiaomi. I do agree though, used to have a P40 pro, an early 2020 device with one of the best/largest main sensors still, 12mp periscope telephoto with OIS and PDAF plus a selfie cam with AF (seems to only now becoming a feature in top end flagships) and a biometric sensor that also handles depth (plus you can use gestures with it too while browsing Web pages etc). It's a shame it was so hard to keep using it without Google services (most games and apps wouldn't work unless using the Web browser version like YouTube and if you update the device once you can't install Google services ever again and there's no way to roll back the update).

you have to suffer, 15 Sep 2022sure i'd get a huawei but its hard to find in offline ... moreRating camera's is not my speciality
I can only really talk about results based of watching a video and adding up scoring
What I do know is
The hardest tasks for a camera are
Night vision work well in the dark
Readable small text
Long distance pictures
Taking a picture of moving target
I can't say definitely what camera is best
Possibly someone who tests There difficult tasks will see how a camera performs on very domanding camera tasks

Too get rid of bias
About year 2 or 3 again
Looking at multiple different pictures then add up scores in the end
Too me ever choice was pretty hard too pick a favourite picture as all are so evenly matched
Generally I try too pick the sharpest most clear picture with most clear details and refined pictures
I remember I had doubts higher MP making big difference
There was a Samsung iPhone Huawei and Google pixel
I remember Samsung won by far 100 that had 100 MP camera and my least favourite was the Huawei
iPhone still second Google pixel third

iPhone... moreS22 ultra is obviously over priced crap
It's already know s22 ultra one of the slowest android flagship even the Snapdragon version is still under powered
It's not a big deal too beat the s22 ultra
But your benchmarks are unrealistic
Geekbench numbers have no usability or usefulness in the real would and are a poor estate of performance
Antutu android always wins
There's many different benchmarks testing multi different benchmarks sites be lot better at least give rough Idea who's got best hardware
But what you really need to do is
If you want too know what smartphone has the best performance in the would usage
This is only find out by doing gaming benchmarks testing multi different games recording in game FPS and loading times
Finding out average FPS minimum FPS and stability over long period of time and loading times
Compassion with iPhone 14 pro max Vs maximum spec asu Rog 6 pro asu Rog 6d pro
Also include
Lenovo legion y90 & Nubia red magic 7s pro
Do this test for 2 hours long per a game testing multi different games see what happens find out the results
Too find out what smartphone has best performance

itumir, 14 Sep 2022No 3.5mm jack
No expansion memory card
No buy
No thanks
... moreI mean, we all miss the AUX Port and still complain about not having expandable storage, but honestly, after 6 years of no headphone jack, did you really expect them to bring it back?
But then again, my point is kinda invalidated when we consider what they did with the M1 Pro/Max MacBook Pros.

For someone like me who uses iPhones for f... moreI agree, if you're mainly a filmography enthusiast, it's not a huge jump from the 13PM except for the new Action Mode, larger camera sensor(which might have a slight effect on DOF and low-light videography?) and higher quality Cinematic Mode like you mentioned.

Super Android 22, 15 Sep 2022You really don't need expandable storage anymore when ... moreYeah, 150GB could be enough for 4k video storage even without the cloud. Good point. This device's cameras are also kind of "pro" but. Great tool for photography.
8k is not a gimmick. I actually used it for 1 cm closeups recording of macro shots. The amount of detail you can gather is simply incredible compared to a 4k macro shot.
8k that is downsampled to 4k is also stunning. But, of course, you'd need a powerful desktop processor and graphics to do that kind of video editing.
8k is still not widely used but for my use case, important for macro or micro videography where you need more resolution for cropping and magnification. A smartphone with 8k recording capabilities under $2k usd is cheaper than buying a mirrorless camera and a dedicated macro lens with high magnification.

Bionic Chip, 14 Sep 2022Nowhere near a "pro" device. Xperia 5 IV is more ... moreYou really don't need expandable storage anymore when you can get terabytes of storage via cloud (you can get atleast 100gb free these days). My find X5 has 256gb built in with another 150gb and I've got thousands of pictures and tonnes of 4k video from 2 concerts I recently went too and barely used any storage.
Yeah headphone jack was annoying to lose (thanks apple) but you can get 3.5 jack dongles, most android companies offer them in the box still that work fine unless you have a pixel phone (my last phone the pixel 6 pro wouldn't accept my £200 headphones through a physical connection, that's a terrible phone).
8k recording on a phone is pointless aswell, why would you buy a £1000-£1500 phone with fixed lenses and not enough SoC cooling vs a dedicated camera/lens with the proper hardware to record? I mean if you're a proper professional film maker and not some Instagram influencer throwing up 10 second tiktok videos on the side you're going to choose dedicated hardware for the job otherwise linustechtips would just use samsung phones to record their videos instead of 8k/12k cameras (Samsung just love pushing the 8k gimmick to people who have 1080p/1440p phones and at best 4k tvs with their 8k video recording). A cropped raw recorded 8k video would get beaten by 4k recording with A.I. And computational video using a phone to record any day of the week.
