The A17 Pro IS more efficient. With the same clock speed as A16 and A15, it draws less power. The issue is Apple pushes the clock speed even higher so they can advertise a larger improvement in performance (thus higher power draw). If the A16 or A15 were pushed as much, they would draw more power than the A17 pro. Apple could've fixed it by not pushing the clock speed so high, but then the performance improvement won't be that large, and the keynote wouldn't be too exciting. Marketing wins in the end.

Biggest piece of apple sh_t to date - so much remorse and returning to the rotten Apple store immediately. By now you've heard of (or will hear shortly) the over-heating problems with the Iphone 15 Pro and Iphone 15 Pro Max. What is extremely disappointing is the rumors that Apple new about the problem with the vaunted Nm chip and ran to production anyway. Now, as I sit here today, with my Iphone Pro 15, sometimes the phone gets so hot it's disturbing to touch. I've read that is the chip "throttling" because it has nothing that would allow it to cool down. I also read this "throttling" is absolutely killing battery life and I can attest to my brand new Iphone 15 Max being the same or slightly similar to my three or four-year-old Iphone 12 Pro Max whose battery is only 85% efficient. What a shocker for a 1600.00 phone. NOT ACCEPTABLE and not cool. Defintely returning and will have to think long and hard about my relationship w Apple if they released this pretty pile of sh_t with the knowledge of its shortcomings. Enough is enough.

@Gsmarena probably best to change the Li-Ion battery amount from 3274 > 𝟯𝟮𝟵𝟬, some teardown videos have confirmed the slight increase.

gundum, 23 Sep 2023iPhone 14 pro or 15 pro which is good? is 15 pro worth for ... moreYou're getting a USB-C 3.0, an upgrade from the lightning port, a much better chipset and a considerably much lighter body than 14 Pro. Bezels are thinner, it's camera has been upgraded too.
So, if you don't want those features, iPhone 14 Pro is definitely best and much better than iPhone 15, other than the fact that it lacks USB-C. Though, as it's discontinued, it'll be harder to get a brand-new one.
