Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max again rumored to exclusively sport periscope lens

The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max arriving later this year were rumored to sport periscope units, but reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that only the Pro Max model will feature a periscope lens. Now Twitter user @URedditor, with a somewhat solid track record, has also claimed that only the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a periscope camera.

The source didn't reveal anything else about the periscope module. And when asked if the camera layout on the iPhone 15 Pro Max has changed, they said, "Not really."

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max

According to previous rumors, the iPhone 15 Pro Max's periscope unit will have 6x magnification, which is three times the optical zoom of the iPhone 14 Pro Max's 12MP telephoto camera.

We also heard that Apple has roped in LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics to source 70% and 30% of OIS actuators for the periscope module, respectively.

1 III and 5 III are very close in size. The body difference between them is much smaller than Pro and Pro Max models, and still, the 5 III doesn't have ToF sensor to accommodate the periscope.
