I just got this phone maybe 3 weeks ago and this is my very first apple device. I keep seeing some review online that this phone is not good for gaming since it will drain the battery life faster, so I'm a gamer myself and I want to play high end games like CODM, Genshin Impact etc. But I'm scared to play games on this phone. What can you recommend?

One thing I must express here is the battery life of iPhone 16 pro max is excellent even with 4800mah battery. I'm getting 10h SOT with 75% (95% to 20%). Cycle count 94. Battery health 100. Using since sept 2024. One can only imagine what Apple would do with 5000mah. I believe battery life of this phone is the best after Sony Xperia 1 VI.
**Of course SOT depends on what you doing. For gaming 10h SOT is not possible.

Normally I don't suggest to fall into the IOS trap as it is not as open as Android platform.
Yes, I know, there is many workaround way to make it work as flexible as Android, but still not as flexible open. Unless one already fond to the IOS ecosystem long ago where they have many other Apple products, then one might find using an iPhone will work much more seamlessly with their other Apple products. (Coming from both Android and IOS user)

apple uses 8 gigs of ram and weaker processors because ios is optimized, if iphones had an os powered by android, they wouldve probably made more powerful chipsets. also battery draining slower, even if capacity is smaller.

But Auto suggestions in English while typing too is worse than Android. But like I said, you can download SwiftKey and enjoy best typing experience.

- You will miss the ease of accessing the notification from middle of the screen. (this can be mitigated by enabling double/triple tap as well as by minimising the whole screen by dragging down)
- You will hate the keyboard and it's auto suggestions (I suggest SwiftKey)
Apart from these, you won't notice much difference. Camera is comparable to android but video Apple is the best. And It will take some time to get used to iOS tricks and settings.
