You can also buy screen replacement kits on the net complete with tools and instructions for about $50.
Exactly the same as any phone with a damaged screen.

Resistive screen is about precision, so you can drawing good picture with stylus, software plastics screen can be replaces at a low price. S60v5 is Finger friendly, stantum 3.5" touchpark on resistive can detect pressure, very responsive, unlimtied finger touch, work with nail, finge, stylus and brush as well. it does have pinch to zoom, so it has everything in it, so resistive screen is more smart!
can wait to see it implemented in future non-Apple phones, Asia market need it, cold climate zone needs it as well.
the multitouch on iphone is useful only for zoom and fast typing speed on virtual keyboard. other mobile phone will have one finger multitouch zoom soon. thanks

lina, 25 Mar 2009the iphone have a bit dificult to answer if someone call.Hey Lina, with regards to your answering phone calls on iphone, when the screen turns on, the touch calibration resets. If a fleshy part of you (your face or fingers) was touching the screen when it turned out, then it will not be accurate. Simply make sure your fingers and any skin are clear of the screen when it turns on. Also just make sure you make a decisive swipe of your thumb/finger to answer call.

crap, 24 Mar 2009ok, many ifans are wishing that video call coming to next m... moreActually, Iphone OS 3.0 offers tethering through both USB and bluetooth. This website has several articles covering the event at which Iphone OS 3.0 was released, also covering everything the Iphone will get. Capacitive touch is MUCH better than resistive, it is not only smoother and more dynamic than resistive touch, it is also much more durable, as you aren't stabbing your screen with a stylus everytime you use it. Why else would phones JUST NOW begin to use capacitive touch instead of resistive? Multi-touch on resistive? It still can never beat capacitive, which can even offer support for 3 or 4 fingers (as seen on macbooks).

In all honesty, I really couldn't care less whether a new iPhone came out this year. Okay, so maybe some more memory would be nice, but Apple are already giving me a brand new phone with 3.0.
And I cannot stress this enough: If you are a Nokia/Samsung/SE fan, who's goal is come to this forum and tear down iPhones and their users, could you please keep it on released software. N96, 5800, C905 and first gen Omnia only. As I have said countless times before, until a phone has been released, and been tried and tested by we the people, how can we tell if its a decent phone? The only source of information we have is the company's advertising and PR team.
The next person to say N97 or Omnia HD should be reported... lol.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Why do you add this rubbish?
> Quad-CPU
> ARM11 MpCore with 4 cores (Technically 4 CPUs on a single chip) up ot 528 mHz
for better 3D scenes & 3D games and to get higher FPS (Frames per Second)
> 192 MB SDRAM
> 256 MB storage memory (ROM) (Not-Confirmed)
About a Quad core CPU in the N97, it doesn't exist you're making it up and adding it to what's on the Nokia site.
Put up a link to this non-existant chip, all you've got is some nutters site postulating on what will be possible based on Wikipedia, the N97 is most likely to have an Arm 8 based chip.
An Arm 9 based multicore chip is in the pipeline but it will not be available for general manufacture until at least next year.
