Guys this is the most inconvenient phone I've ever used apple iphone 16GB(without 3G) which is a criminal waste of money reasons there is no forwarding option for SMS text messages no bluetooth compatibility to any other fone or headseats other than apple ..in short that fone is a techno mess(maybe can be a good palm top) as a FONE IT IS A TOTAL WASTE

Nokia will relese ovi store in two months, 5800 and n97 hacve many great spps which do noy need to get approveal frpm nokia!!!

vikz, 03 Mar 2009I agree the iphone is rubbish, I work in the industry and h... moreI too work in the industry, I've found the iPhone to be one of the most reliable phone's we've sold, the odd software issue is fixed by advising the customer to plug the phone into iTunes and restore.
Repairs are a lot better with Apple they are usually completed within a week in comparison the turn around time for Nokia repairs is 3-4 weeks.
Customer satisfaction is very high with this phone, most of the time people come back to buy accessories which makes more for me!

I here that this year APPLE IPHONE HD is goi... moreNo... its just rumours. Apple don't say what they are working on. They keep it as a surprise and the day after the release they make millions in the instant hype they generate doing so. The marketing behind it is genius.
With that said, June will be a year on from the iPhone 3G release, hence the assumption that there will be a model to replace it, but as I said, no one knows. There is a MacWorld Expo soon where there will be announcements of Apple's new products and who knows, it could be released then. There is a major software update due in April, which is apparently (hopefully) featuring copy/paste. And with the App Store, the iPhone gets updated every day. Every time I download a new App it becomes a different phone, yet I don't need to fork out for a new handset.
With that all said, Q4 at the least is looking to be the most logical guess for a new release. It is around 18 months on from the original iPhone release, so those of us who got iPhones on release will be able to get an early upgrade (cheaply if not free) to the new handset.
Any new iPhone from Apple will have to exceed that of the 3G to be considered a success, and that means as many sales as possible. The longer they hold off, the more 3G customers who will be eligible to upgrade, meaning more sales for Apple.
I hope this clears up any confusion surrounding the issue.

One final note... remember that when the 3G came out the new OS was a free upgrade for original iPhone owners... it should be the same for the next iPhone. The only difference will really be aesthetics, possibly camera and memory, and if the last two don't bother you (for example, 8 gig is more than enough) then I'd say go get an iPhone now.

I would tell you where to go, you are a very poor salesperson, what gives you the right to make decisions for people.
You won't get far by pushing people onto substandard products they don't want in the first place.

Which is better? Apple Iphone, Samsung Omnia i900 or HTC touch HD - I understand a difficult one to call because of differences in prices and specs. I'm just trying to figure which one I should go for - I'm leaning towards the HTC because the apple doesnt have GPS for south africa and bluetooth is limited. The omnia doesnt have the same touch capibilities as the other two (stylus vs finger). I have the HTC tytn and I havent been too impressed (lag/phone capability is poor/etc) but am thinking better the devil you know than what u dont know :). Any other perspectives?
