Had it for a month. The most highly over-rated phone.
If you are buying it because its an Apple phone, then think twice.
HTC beats this flat out.

You will probabl end up shelling out about 500-600 bucks for an unlocked Iphone. Just be wary of scam websites and deals.

I wouldn't buy it, mainly because of the crucial lack (or inconvenience)of features like MMS and bluetooth that I use. However, these features don't seem to be of great concern to Iphone fans, who either don't rank them with priority or are happy to get around them with a compromise.
The only thing that really bugs me as a retailer of this phone is Apple's warranty policy and the turn-around on repairs. Try explaining to a customer who just opened the box in store why you can't replace it there and then, but instead have to send it away for several weeks with no loan phone. :/

I imagine txting would be hard if you had big fat man fingers. Lucky for me I don't, so i find texting easy. It's like all phones - they are a bit difficult to use at first then you get used to them.

I want to switch from the nokia 5800 to the iphone 3G but I am a little worried about WAP connection as we don't have EDGE and 3G in our country!
I have read that hacking the proxy.pac can let the wap work,is it true?

meh i would probs get it if it had a video camera and the bluetooth could be used to transfer songs too and had a better camera

Based on my experiences with this phone, sooo nice..

I has iPhone 4G and is very good. This is a relly good inprovement from the iPhone 4g since it has face detection, stylus, tv and the camera has flash. is so amazing! this was buy in Hong Kong. is good i like it!

anyone else seen the ad in australia for some comp where you can win an iphone 3g and they actually say "you can win an iphone 3 gig" made me crack up, i didnt believe my ears at first

Also if you don't know what 3G is I don't think an iPhone would be the best phone to get...

simply best phone.it has set a very high standard and so user friendly.been using it for over 6 months now and lets me do all i need to do,both professionally and socially.an excellent phone.well done apple.looking forward to the next iphone in anticipation to new features which will just raise the standard of an excellent phone.

I have the 16 gig iPhone 3g and love it. I think it is the best of all touch phones. I compared it to my buddies blackberry storm and it blows it away. My 2 mega pixel no flash camera in low light takes better pics than the 3.2 mega pixel with flash in low light. My buddy is jealous, wished he got the iphone.
