I have had the pleasure of owning both and I have always been a true nokia fan However the Iphone beats the N95 Hands downs .!

I have an iPhone ^^

One day when I grow up I think I would like to own a phone like this because it looks pretty.

This is going to turn out to be a story of a girl and her iPhone, a girl who was torn between her beloved iPhone and the new and shiney N97. Pepsi loved her old Nokia N81 for a very long time, even when her coworkers told her it looked like a plastic kids toy. She did not care. She cleaned it and fed it battery charge, she only dropped it once, and only threw it 3 times in fits of rage. Then she found the iPhone. The old Nokia was put away, only to be used in times of emergency, maybe when the iPhone was not working? But the iPhone never failed her, it loved her. And she loved it back.

So now the N97 comes along and threatens to steal her away from her iPhone, the iPhone that never abandoned her in times of need, never froze on her or dissapointed her. What should she do?

She now faces a huge decision, what will she choose?

This iphone works great, besides using as mobile telephone, I can watch the Movies (DVD quality) with big mobile screen, listen the music and world wide internet Radio (must download the software from istore), See the worldwide Stock ticker (must download Bloomberg app from istore), follow the live score world wide soccer (download from istore), get the push E-mail, and play the game which provide the graphic better than NDS but lower than PSP!!! As I also use my laptop to connect with HD TV to see the movies from my harddisk or play the internet, I use program named Snatch from istore to change my iphone to be a wireless mouse/keyboard to control wirelessly from anywhere in my room or another room. Because iphone will control the laptop/pc via WiFi network's subnet. As I told you above there are many things that the others mobile phone cannot do.

zahoo, 14 Jan 2009the only reason iphone does not have a bluetoth is that u c... moreYou can add any MP3 you want to your iTunes library, you are not restricted to iTunes store, you can also get free software to make ringtones for an iPhone out of any MP3 you want, you are also not restricted to iTunes.

There is one thing that the iPhone has that no other phone has and that is OSX, at it's heart it is the same as desktops with all the power that that brings.

Less is more, the iPhone is a perfect example.

the only reason iphone does not have a bluetoth is that u can buy all the songs and ring tones true itunes....call 911 that is a robery in progres...but its a great phone...if u dont have it dont post

The iphone is a smart phone , only if you know how to use it , you can jailbreak it and you can enjoy the iphone at it's maximum power. If you have an HTC diamond touch , it's the same thing but the iphone has a more stable software. What do you need MMS when you have mail? The blutooth's design was only for devices at it's begining , i don't need blutooth for trasfering music and videos. If you don't know , yout music comes with viruses on most cases , music that you transfer to a normal phone and then in to your iphone by blutooth and you can infect your iphone. Duuuuh . If you don't trust me , try it and then you will see i'm right

Whenever a new handset is announced it starts a flood of comparisons against a cell phone that it will be competing with. The latest announcement from Nokia is the newest N-Series phone, the N97. So what phone will the N97 be competing with, well that would be the new Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1.

Both phones are very similar in design, apart from the fact that the N97 has much rounder edges, I really like the design of these two phones. So let us look at the features of each phone to see how they match up.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 3.15 inch touchscreen, Full QWERTY keyboard, 3.15 megapixel camera with autofocus and video camera. Other features include GSM, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Built-in GPS receiver, up to 833 hours standby and up to 10 hours talktime.

Nokia N97 features include, 3.5 touchscreen, Full QWERTY keyboard, A-GPS sensors and an electronic compass, 32GB storage with a further 16GB microSD available, giving the phone up to 48GB storage. Other features include, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, G, Wi-Fi and much more.



It is hard to choose between the two, as both phones look sexy, but the specs on the Nokia N97 shows the iphone up by 7billion miles.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Yeah yeah. Bluetooth and mms. If u say who needs mms, i understand we don't need it cuz we can use the email to send photos.

But bluetooth, its important. You are missing something here. You wanna send videos, music, photos to your iPhone?? Oh wait, you can't.

And not only that. A miserable 2 megapixel camera with no video recording capabilities, no extra functions, no flash. And if you are talking about 2009, 2009 phones have 8 megapixel cameras, excellent video recording and flash. The phones now have 4x amount of megapixels (and you better not say that the megapixels does not mean they have good picture qualities, the 4 megapixel cameras are so much better than the miserable 2 megapixel iphone camera).

I understand that the touch screen, user-friendliness, wide screen ipod, etc. are one of the best. But look at this in another way. Millions of people own an iphone now. Too common. If you say "wow, i got an iphone!", it aint unique cuz probably 10million people have the same phone.

And also i have an ipod touch, thus, I can get a phone with a better camera and different functions. iPod Touch is the same as the iphone except with no camera, bluetooth, 3G, can't call, can't sms, no GPS.

And sometimes, 2 is better than one. People will say "Wow, u got an iPod Touch and a 8 megapixel camera phone."

im with optus im on the $19 cap plan i pay $23 for the iphone 8gb model so i dont think its cheap
but when it ends im going for another iphone 3g 16gb by that time itll be cheap for sure

I have never known a phone as poor as this. Apple are clearly very good at marketing. My advice to anybody reading this is to not buy it! Compare every feature with the Sony Ericsson C905 for instance. The iPhone has no universal Bluetooth, no MMS, a 2.0 mp camera with no flash/Video. Its no better than a Nokia 6300. Its just nice to use. Seriously this is an idiots phone. And its so damn expensive.

lucian, 12 Jan 2009i am from philippines, my iphone came from italy as unlock ... moreI just went to AT&T store and talk with them they told me it may not work web(internet) only work voice call because unlocked iphone they told me Iphone can not change for Network setting..... Is that true?
He told me he already try his Iphone 3G him self but He unlocked his self and jailbreak......... He said did not work

Anyway
I live in USA and contract with AT&T. My Internet Plan is $15
If I buy Locked phone should I upgrade to $30 plan?
I have no idea.

Should I buy the other Unlocked phone?
