david, 28 Nov 2008I'm an anti-Telstra consumer... their plans are way too exp... moreYeah I work for Telstra. Service is not as bad as Optus, especially the customer service number... Lol.
For an 8GB on prepaid its $729, and for a 16GB $849. It's the only way to get one without going on a plan. But that's only on Optus.

Grabber, 27 Nov 2008As a phone the iphone is useless they have even put the aer... moreActually the 4 aerials (GSM, GPS, Wireless HSDPA) are built into the circuit board, this was why they use a plastic back on the iPhone 3G as a metal back would interfere with them.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970It's not the design that is at fault, I had major problems with calls being dropped.I had this phone for 3 weeks then exchanged it for a Nokia n95 8gb

how do you change the ringtone. i am ashamed to say i work in a phone shop and still couldnt change my freinds ringtone. we dont sell the iphone but still i looked stupid... i checked the settings and it jist says you can choose between the default tones. and they suck, just looking to put a music track as the ring tone, help...

You can see them on a 3.5" screen and zoom them using two fingers.
I can watch Live TV streamed from my PC on it.
I don't have to play ghey Java games on it, it has real 3D games, which because they are so big would bring your puny N-series crashing to it's knees.

Screen ha... morefor me pimp... i've been using my iphone 3g with 2.2 software for 4 days now but i don't see any problem... my phone even went faster in terms of loading or opening an application... faster internet over edge 3g and even faster in wifi... i have now the option in turning on and off the dictionary or the help text ... app store has also a new look in the category part and the safari has now a separate google search bar... i have 90 applications installed in my iphone and all working fine in my new 2.2 version and they even run faster with the new version and i thank the apple team for releasing the new software its very nice... nice job apple

Allow you to bluetooth media to or from it
No MMS
Without "jailbreaking" it wont support most apps.
Whats the point of the camera in the iphone if the photos are stuck on there?

I access my orblive server on my Windows PC and can access over a terabyte of files via wireless or 3G.

bluetooth is not in built
no flash for camera
u cannot forward the inbox message
cant use the whole bloody 8/16 gb as external media
cannot sync anything without itunes
worst 2 mp camera
need to jail break for some sukin applications
!!!!!!!

The only way to get an outright iPhone in Australia is to get one on a plan or get a jailbroken one from overseas. Honestly, it's not worth getting one from overseas though, way too expensive. I'd reccomend either Telstra or Optus. Optus have better deals, but Telstra have better coverage and speeds with Next G.

cellphones are not camrera phones. its not a big deal if your phone has 5mp or 8mp. its the over all and whats most useful. iphone is the besr internet cellphone device, and the best touchscreen, the best audio, video player. these features are most commonly used by people.
what the hell a 5mp camera can do to you day by day?
taking photo of yourself and post it to friendster?
or taking photo of your friends everyday?
you suck if you like your n95 5mp camera rather than what iphone can do.
can your n95 play movies?
can your n95 browse the youtube, when your on the road?
can your n95 screen autorotates when you flip it sideways? and finger touch the screen?
these things are new! and cool for a cellphones
who cares for a 5mp cellphone cam?
i got 8mp olympus camera. haha
