As for the upgrade.... its free. The $10 is so you can upgrade your iPod touch to the iPhone firmware. Lol, I'd like to see you get Wimno on you're walkman.
And to be honest, I have never needed to send an SMS to 10K peeps before. But i can send hundreds from my iPhone if I ever feel the urge.

Many of my friends here in Philippines disposed their iPhones, its hard to text! in fact that its a touchscreen, small character presses, and in QWERTY mode. Yes, iPhone is for good looks, but not for Productivity, and not a feature-blessed phone.
I did plan to buy iPhone when it Globe Telecom here in the Philippines offer the first "genuine" iPhone in the country, but first, i look for it in GSMArena (usually do this before buying phones for the past 5 years), and read its poor function. Not interested anymore.
I prefer Nokia n95 8gb more because:
1. it can be used as Mass Storage for my files for school, with FREE Software update unlike iPhone (you need to buy the update for $9-$10)
2. can send messages up to 10,000 unknown numbers (try this, bet you don't know it. Numbers that are not listed in your phonebook. This feature so important for my business.)
3. long lasting Phone Casing (the coat of the case is so cool, can't be scratched easily... UNLIKE iPhone that even you put protective Coat, it smudges!).
4. and its 3.5G! 10x faster than the ordinary 384kbps 3G.

Iphone 3G best phone ever, all of the pathetic copies by Nokia, Samsung HTC do not have a chance without the great Apple software and fantastic user interface,
never mind the !d!ots that keep writing stup!d!ties on this forum, they just make fools of themselves.

haha, not been a good month for the old iphone 3g
a new nokia s40 phone has just come out with an equal screen resolution to this, but on a 2.4 inch screen!
and htc release the touch HD which is so much more attractive!

try makes phone call and realize how hot the back of your phone become..
the 3g might be a bit cripple but the 2g is solid as metal
