I am returning the iphone 3g to ATT after 2 days because of the following:
1. No Hotmail support.
2. No video recording.
3. slips easly out of my hand however nothing happened to it very solid. don't tell ATT.
4. could not hear it ringing in the mall or fell the vibration in my pocket and that got me in trouble with the wife and I don't want that to happen again. haha.
5. poor battery life.
6. I felt it does not fit my age.
7. It did not support arabic web browsing or texting.
8. I missed my N95 so much.
Don't get me wrong I really think apple is on the road to control the smart phone market however they need to take care of the above issues.

No voice calling on the Iphone ?
Google voice search coming to the iPhone really soon
Tags: iPhone, Mobile Applications
Google have taken searching to a next level and announced that they will be releasing an upgrade of their iPhone search application, which will feature voice recognition. So next time when you are out and about - don't just type in your search term, say it.
Why they did not do it with Nokia ?

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2008I have used most of those phones you have mentioned, most i... moreNo. Nokia MAPS are free. You connect your device to the Map Loader and choose which Maps you want on your device. If your memory has the capacity, get several continents. It's when you want voice-assisted navigation, that's when you pay.
The only Google product released exclusively to the iPhone is Google Earth, a program which I can say is a pefect example on just how powerful this device is. (It closes 3 times out of ten though, early software from Google I guess)

there is no better phone. each phone has unique features. for some people the iphone is not good and other phones are better. it is a matter of preference and whatever phone is suitable for the person
i have the iphone, n95, n93i, moto q9h. although those cel phones take turn of being used, i prefer my n95 and n93i over my iphone.

narki86, 16 Nov 2008Fact of matter is, this phone is total crap, no really, it ... moreI have used most of those phones you have mentioned, most iPhone users have.
Yet I prefer the iPhone to all of them.
Mainly due to OSX, the functionality it brings and the Apps that are available, not to mention the sheer number of different accessories you can get.
You present a list of phones you say are "better" believe me they are not.
If they were, why do so many people whine when Google for example brings out iPhone exclusive software?
Regarding the maps the iPhone is sold bundled with data, so it shouldn't be an issue.
Nokia maps come in regional bundles, go somewhere else and it will cost you, use voice guidance and that will also cost you (outside any free trials they offer).

Fact of matter is, this phone is total crap, no really, it is. I mean, no MMS, no copy-paste, no autofocus, no flash, poor calling reception, no expandable memory, poor battery life, no keypad, not even a removable battery lid? Honestly, this phone is one of the worst phones on the market today, user interface is not all people, especially not since the phone cannot even be used without smudgeing the screen with your fingers. Wow, having to rub your phone against your sweatshirt every five minutes is really innovative, really. Do your self a favour, get a clue, get a life, realise that there are alternatives FAR superiour to this technoligical waste of space, and buy yourself a phone worthy of using rather than toying around with. Try Nokia, Blackberry, or even HTC, Samsung or LG, but not Sony Ericsson, they're just as bad, if not worse. If you already bought it, well, congratulations, you've been ripped of by mr. Jobs himself.
