i wouldnt be able to answer ALL of your questions because my time with this phone is still limited (for now). BUT, you CAN download msn messenger for it. As far as i know, you must jailbreak the iphone inorder to install more customized applications. (correct me if im wrong)
Facebook and Youtube are officially supported by the Iphone 3G, and Facebook has also launched a real application on the iTunes Store :)
As for the battery, it really depends on the usage. Whether you have the wifi turned on, video playing, mp3 player. But you should get a days worth of usage out of it with no problem.
Screen Visibility: cant help you there, sorry.
and finally, Syncing: Can be done of course :) But its through iTunes, and you can sync anything from pics, video, contacts, etc..

guess, lot of negative feedback is from bitter frustrated people who can't afford the phone and have never had the experience.i have gone through over 20 phones and feel that apple has set a standard and is way ahead.i guess alot of apple haters and bashers are feeding back.frustrated lot.

i really dunno why many people here are in line to buying this crappy phone! apple just rip your pocket off! 2M camera is just funny! No flash, No video recoding, no replaceable battery! no no no!!! limited functionality @ all

Whatever your comments and opinions, good or bad but the fact still remains that iphone made history. It had become a barometer to other brands. If the iphone doesn't conform to your liking, it doesn't mean that it's not good. It's just that, it has its own standard and good at that.

stef, 12 Jul 2008N95 8GB is much better all this hype for apple phone...w... morei work in a phone shop and know the phones which are good and i can safely say the n950 is bad so why do people keep talking about it. u guys go on about the iphone and its problems do you know how many n95 we have taken in for repair
