Ummmmmm its sad when poeple dont pay attention to what gose on around the world...YES the US has 3G....and yes they will be going to hsdpa just has not gotten there...give the us a brake guys...its there 1st true 3g device..for the 1st time there are poeple actully looking towards the us for starting something worthwhile paying attneiotn...i cant wait until they get one with a 3g cam and MMS ready for the iphone...thats the only sad truth about thephone..

I called them to find out the contract end of my plan, they asked me why and i told i wanted to goto Optus for the iPhone and they told they are getting it at the end of June.. nice!

You would think they would also adjust the camera specs to that of a more competitive number. If they saw it as insignificant, perhaps they should have just left it out altogether.
Overall, it appears this phone could be better. It's a gadget and not so much a useful tool.

K, 13 Jun 2008Question to the US..... Do you guys EVEN HAVE 3G capa... moreThe UK and Usa also have 3g. The UK's coverage is increaseing to 75-80% coverage now. USA is more restrictive to Urban centres but they still have 3G data transmission.

revolutionise the way we use mobile technology??
How can we revolutionize the way we use mobile phones when currently to answer and make calls and text, music player and other features with ONE hand, and with the IPHONE you need both hands????
Its actually a step back... people are only fantasized with the motion finger tech. Its simply just replacing a mouse with your fingers... which is actually less reliable and more fragile.

Point is that the phone is useless.. im surprised that they even have HSDPA on the IPHONE, but as far as I know, Australia is the only country that has 3G HSDPA connectivity.
ANYWAYS, the phone will be more than 800 bucks a unit. Plus, customers will need to go on a DATA plan with the call plan to use Internet.

Some constructive help please- I know there is no bluetooth for document transfer etc, can this be "fixed" in the future by software update, an attachable bluetooth device or would it take a new model iphone to fix this? Thanx to someone more technically gifted than I!
