anujan, 15 Oct 2010hmm interesting. its either a malfunctioning battery notif... moreit was as u said, a third party application was what was giving me problems with the charging. i deleted the application and now the phone is alright. thanks u very much for the help.

1)you can send files through bluetooth by downloading the correct apps which will enable you to do so
2)you can download pictures from safari if thats what you primarily download
other files such as videos, music etc can also be downloaded using 3rd party apps

its either a malfunctioning battery notifier or a disfunctional battery itself.
is your phone jailbroken? because some 3rd party app could be affecting/causing this problem.
back up your data on itunes, perform a hard reset and before(if you had previously) jailbreaking, check to see if the problem persists.
if it does, i suggest you go to the nearest istore since the battery is best dealt with the apple employees themselves. do not attempt to pry open the device yourself

I'v been using the 3g for sometime but recently when i charge the phone using my laptop it hardly reaches half and it goes off. I tried using an ac socket to charge it and i got the same problem. I'm depressed please i need help

a) You should do a restore through iTunes. You can then select to set up the phone as a new phone and specify owner details.
b) The songs on the phone (which should have been removed before the phone was sold to you) cannot by copied back to iTunes. iTunes will replace all songs already on the phone with whatever songs you have loaded in your iTunes Music.
c) When upgrading the phone OS, simply do a backup first. Then after upgrading the OS, you can restore all the games, music, etc. This is normally done automatically, so just follow the prompts and you'll be fine.

Just recently purchased a second hand Iphone 2G.
Request someone to answer the below queries.
a) When I connect my Iphone wit Iphone it displays the older owner name. I want to Rename it in my name. Whats te process ?
b) Secondly when I press the Sync button it says - all existing songs in the phone will be replaced with the songs & playlist from your library.
c) My current phone version is 2.2.1 & if I uprade this via Itune to 3.1.3 then after software updation the existing songs, videos, games will be removed ?

personally id prefer an iPhone to a BB anyday anytime
tonnes of apps to play around with, much easier user interface, higher capabilities.
if youre holding onto the bb just for the bb messenger, you should know that whatsapp does the same thing and it works between iphones and blackberrys.
however dont go for the iphone 3g, i would say that the 3gs or the iphone 4 would better suit you.
