you can download new application from ios 7 or 8 with application download in last itune version on pc afterall download application on your appstore iphone :)

I once had a phone like this, it's kinda laggy when using some apps. the the battery runs out rapidly when using 3G connection internet.

I bought the 3GS for fun and giggles.. lol.. ahh.. the iPod 4th Gen runs way smoother. Smoother being said loosely. The camera is pretty weak. The phone with iOS 6 is very slow and laggy. The double tap on the home button for multi-task is pretty stubborn. The material feels a bit cheap compared to the iPod 4 and iPhone 4S. Personally find that the LG Arena, LG Viewty + Viewty Smart, and LG Renoir run way smoother and offer more despite the abundance in apps on App Store. The 3GS is too outdated for todays standards

hawii, 12 Jul 2015i have apple 3gs with ios 6.1.6 . i have some questions . t... morethe iPhone 3gs can't be updated past iOS 6 because of hardware limitations, if you want to get new apps you need to get a newer iPhone (the iPhone 4s is the oldest iPhone that will be getting iOS 9)

I have downloaded several books to my iphone. Today the screen in the books is only black. I have re-booted several times. Also I can't access any of the icons across the bottom of the screen.

Only the iPhone 4S and up are able to upgrade to iOS 7,8 and 9 coming soon. I believe the reason is that the hardware on the iPhone 4, and 3GS is not exactly compatible with the new software. Please I have an Apple 3G 16 GB, used, but when I put my sim card, "No service" appears on the left top side, locked key" appears at the top middle and the phone remains like that. How do I unlock it.

I remember being so tempted to get this phone haha. I had the LG Viewty at the time since 2008. This iPhone apparently took really nice photos considering it had a lower camera vs Viewty's 5MP. Apps on this phone now were more plentiful and this phone ran fairly smooth! Only thing was the internet speeds in the USA, AT&T did not deliver solid 3G for the iPhone, back then iPhone was exclusive to AT&T. I was with T-Mobile and my LG Viewty ran smoothly with T-Mobile USA even though it was a UK phone. Am considering buying this phone just for fun hehe I knew people who really liked their 3GS. These phones are very durable
