Although the iPhone 4 is a superb phone with issues at the moment giving it negative publicity, I can see the appeal for the 3GS is even more now due to this :)

In India the I-phone is sold through network operators.The 16GB phones is sold at a hefty price of USD 800 by virtue of monopoly.As release in India is normally done just before launching of next version in USA,customers feel expolitation of the operators (Airtel&Vodaphone) even more disgusting.I am not sure if Apple allows it merrily or it is another example of Apple's unwillingness to see beyond their own world(well).
I bought network locked 3GS phone after waiting for one year.I hardly found any thing great in this phone.It's battery life is very poor.The camera without flash and zoom is no good.
I wonder when apple overcome the arrogance&hype about their brand which makes them blind to the awareness in the customers.The advent of China phones already exposed the glaring exploitation of so called established brands.Other manufatureres like Nokia , Samsung atleast attempted to increase the value for money.
No company can fool all people all time.I think apple will realize it sooner than later to avoid the plight of many other American products.

U won't need ... morei did now it sucks - its runs good but got to bring along my charging cable along don't leave home without it - yes i had reset the phone but the same :-)

i was able to do the update to the latest Ios4 but my sim card was not working on it, they said i should get a carrier sim and i want to use my MTN sim card please some body help me. it been difficult eating or sleeping for me... My phone is 3Gs 16gb previously version 3.1.2 updated to Ios4 and now my sim card is not working on it... HELP HELP HELP
