phone that runs it properly is the HTC HD2, and even then, mist people want it to be running Android.
If you are refering to Windows Phone 7 series, those phone aren't even out yet so it's hard to make a comparison.

If you want more power, Tweaks, Customization and ...the list goes on......
go for Windows Phone.
Compare the static home screen with the informative home screen of WP.

I was on business in the UAE and I managed to pick this one up unlocked from a place called Axiom, with an official warranty and all. I agree with you, it’s important that a phone is unlocked, especially when you travel frequently.

Very big problem is the bluetooth... wont work without itunes... camera is not so good as it shows... cost is very high..

They custom built a SOC for the iPad and should also design their own for the next generation of iPhones due in the middle of the year.
I wonder what all the other phone companies will be trying to catch up with this time?
They still haven't done very well a copying the App store or iTunes Music, Movie and TV show stores.
I guess that was why Apple sold twenty five million last year!

with so many hackers around with unlocking and
jailbreaking software.. how come it is not possible
to get a paid appstore software and run it for free
at the iphone or ipod touch.. i mean.. what protections
they use to prevent that from happening? Is there
some kind of IMEI or serial number matching to each
software and unit to prevent duplicate running
of any two iphone or ipod?

no one use cd anymore it's mp3, mp4 & mp5, cd id is outdated.
