ive found that with all my 3G handsets, just turning off 3G can triple the battery life.

though really if you're paying for a handset with 3G, you shouldnt need to do this just to get through the day

If I want light use, I'll get a gsm-only phone.

Thanks for the precious advice n3rd.

Saying how the iPhone has the smallest battery, then going on to say the experia has a smaller one just shows how stupid your comments are.

Smaller than the smallest, how can that be?

          +Nice apps
          +Slick form factor
          +Pretty responsive

But then there's a not so good side
          -Some webpages don't work
          -The case cracks
          -The signal is poor

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2010100% legal to jailbreak any phone in US. http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2009/02/apple-says-jailbreaking-illegal

Apple is an US based company so there's no place more illegal to jailbreak it -- if you ever damage someone elses phone eg. by spreading a virus I'll bet they'll sue you in Philipines.

As for efficiency, wm is far more efficient as 1ghz snapdragon = 600mhz ARM just like intel and amd, clock rates can't be compared directly.

iPhone has the most inefficient power management since it is the phone with the wakest battery on the market.
Xperia can go for two days with a smaller battery than 3GS.

            -but hey, atleast it's smooth;)

But for the basic consumer it sometimes comes off as being clunky or outdated-looking. If winmo 7 can revamp the aesthetics of the winmo phone to look more like android or iphone, and optimize it for mobiles, then winmo will be a real contender when it comes to both the consumer and the advanced user against the iphone and android phones.

It runs incredibly quickly on 600mhz, and yes, winmo isnt efficient, the fact it needs a 1ghz proccessor to match the iphone's speed says it all

but in some ways winmo is the most complete OS. it's so customisable and apart from a nice UI, it does everything

If apple is in any way intelligent, and they are, they will increase screen res and maybe even screen size.

As for the 1 gHz processor... Yeah I'm sure the HD2 works wonderfully using it, but the OS itself is horribly inefficient. Choppy edges can be seen everywhere that hasn't been redone by HTC. Winmo is by far the worst OS to date for mobiles, and iphone OS is by far the best in my opinion. Almost anybody that has an iphone would agree, and most people that don't have never even used one before.

also i cant see the iphone's screen being updated anytime soon, there are just so may apps which would become useless.

you can see all the pixels, it's horrible

If sending files via bluetooth is really such a deal breaker, just jailbreak your iphone. What you get by having an iphone far exceeds any obscure functionality you get from having symbian or winmo. Winmo is pathetically slow and inefficient. I jailbroke my iphone and I must say that multitasking is nothing short of beautiful on the iphone, far better than on any other phone or OS. It can do card view multitasking better than the Pre can. Check out Multiflow for iphone on youtube.

Seriously, the iphone does just about every single thing better than other phones, with the exception of high resolution camera and higher res screen. It is better than any phone released before it, and the next one will be better than anything released before it this summer.

Sorry but all iPhone user are getting ripped off becuase off some small probs
                                1. It has no option for bluetooth data transfer this means you can't send stuff like songs and etc.
                                2. Flash media player is not there on the iPhone (banned in fact cause of Apple don't know why?) means some Internet can't used fully (avalilable on ever single Nokia Smartphone).
                                3. iTunes limts the fully capcity iPhone by only sycn opition ( yes there are other programmes for the iPhone to operate but are not " APPLE Certifcated")
                                4. No mobile tracker this feature is there in many different samsung smart phones that are cheaper by $500 - $600)
                                5. And finally from my point off view the only that compensates for all misshapenning by apple is how esay the goddam interface is I mean it's so esay my grandpa could use it without having a stroke
that bascially what I have say
ohh! One last jailbreaking the iPhone dose allow you to use different programmes other than iTunes
don't mistake me it's a good phone but it just isn't worth heavy price tag
at this price you could buy a goodlooking phone with better specs without having to dig deap into your pockets

dont you understand, that was cool and good news.
because real iphone users knows how to use an iphone and understand the advantage of having the original software. jailbreak users are mostly frustrated nokia users, they simply wanted a phone that will beat the iphone because they dont have any from their nokia, they are desperate to have something as good as the iphone but nokia cant provide til now they are still waiting. thats why they switched to jailbreak iphone because they hated the original iphone, they think its weak, and jailbreaking it makes them think its better, but the truth is its not, those dumbz, they are just simply illiterate iphone users.
