Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970You can go to YouTube, log in, make comments, access your channels and favourites, upload videos directly, all from an iPhone.

So tell me mr smarty pants, which part is missing from the YouTube site?

You have no idea what you are talking about.

What did they chuck you out of XDA or something that you have to come trolling here.

No one cares about your piece of WinMo junk with it's stupid registry and crappy pink tinged camera, shocking 2002 65k colour screen and falling marketshare.

HD engr, 12 Dec 2009First off about the task switcher: press the task switcher... moreSo it takes two steps for you to switch between apps with your multitasking phone. It's the same with the iphone. So as you can see it's not a big deal. The iphone's advantage would be, it saves more battery power, and will unlikely lag or crash versus your multitasking phone.

Searching data on the iphone through spotlight is a breeze as well. It takes one press and the spotlight search is on. You don't have to scroll like you said you would. Spotlight is not an icon app like what you make it seem to be. When you are on the homepage, just one press on the home button will bring up spotlight immediately. And not all winmo phones have the same way of retrieving the search option, and I don't know which device you have.

Correction, you can go to the youtube website with an iphone and still view youtube videos. It automatically directs it to its youtube app. Winmo devices with flash support have poor video quality and sometimes videos stops buffering and sometimes it just crashes and lags so much, so what's the deal with that? The iphone's youtube app works perfectly.

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2009"in fact they have the same quality as my n95 has" Thats... moreThem get them both, and test their camera.
My N95 has a good cam, indeed. But it's just a good camera. My iPhone has a good camera too, for my usage it is a good camera.

Maybe someday, if I need to print a twelve feet picture for an outdoor, maybe then i'll get a 12MP camera.

Jrf, 12 Dec 2009I see that you like winmo, what phone do you use and which ... moreI honestly don't see any OS better than others but at least winmo still has all the familiar features like its PC counterpart. And even the most powerful PC today can eventually slow down if there are many apps installed: nothing is perfectly designed for any OS (take years to iron out all bugs and optimize). I currently have the Singapore Omnia i900 16G bought more than a year ago (first PDA phone for me) imported and unlocked in US (not ATT 3G band but unlimited Edge is fast enough for news and general web surfing and saves me $15 over same data plan on iphone). It still has very clean cooked ROM 6.1 pro and honestly I need to soft reset it only once or twice (worst) a month with moderate to heavy data and apps usage: 5min push email exchange daytime schedule, real time weather update and etc. Anyway if you like challenge or fun tweaking PDA phone then it is the way to go with great usefully practical rewards (true mulitasking which is a deal breaker for me, and lots of PC like goodies if you know where to look).

What country are you in and don't even look at diamond series, X1..The currently best OVERALL winmo 6.5 PDA phones imo are HTC HD2, Samsung Omnia2 if you are lucky enough to live in Euro or Asia (3.5G). But I would go for Omnia2 because of its amoled (first impression and always first contact is looking at the phone screen right?). HW wise HD2 has an edge and TRUST me on this, its powerful HW and SW from experienced sw developers with ms background makes the iphone look bad even with multitasking, and like I said several times, any OS CAN DO (with tweaking) true multitasking BUT any OS WILL eventually slow down because of installed apps are NOT PERFECTLY designed to run flawlessly together at the same time. Just think of yourself trying to juggle several tasks at the same time to see what I was trying to say. Even only one app is open on the screen but others are still running or worst halted in background. Apple knew the truth that real multitasking would sacrifice iphone's speed and performance and that would make it just look like another "been there done that" winmo 4x, 5x, 6x, and it would not become a hype as Apple marketing always wanted huh. But it became a hit for people who just simply wanted an easy to use phone and a physically good looking one: nailed it with the thin form factor with clean front face, remember the Razor! (nice work there Apple marketing). But eventually demanding people found out that 1st 2nd gen iphones could not do things like they used to do on PC (yes almost everyone at least spent some time on PC opening multiple apps at the same time and switching back and forth right? I know I always do at work and home ;) so there we go: copy and paste, office viewer (later editor with a paid price, lol), file search, multitasking (jailbroken but should it be supposed to work right out of the box for the user friendly minded popular?) etc. but most of them are still very limited (jokingly "retar.ded"). Anyway I really liked the iphone when it first came out and almost bought it but after doing the homework phone call with a technical support (more than 2 yrs ago), I found out the truth from Apple and NEVER, again NEVER EVER trusted anyone's promises until I see it working left and right in person, lol. Honestly at the end of that 1hr phone conversation the tech guy admitted that I did well on researching ahead and should wait until a better iphone (then as I predicted, 3GS came out BUT it still does NOT have true multitasking capability, and fk the one hw home button, it should have a few more for customisation, AND a tree directory breakdown for fast access to most used apps on ONE or TWO pages (make it three for left/right scrolling but even better a 4 way scrolling). SPB shell 3.5 has the UI like Android: an oversized wallpaper with customisable apps icons but still missed the up/down scrolling so winmo 6.5 improves this with a 4 way scrolling with instant access to any apps (not sure if they are customisable but it is on home page). Anyway I could have flash mine with a cooked 6.5 but don't have time yet.

One nice feature on mine while going out of town on fwy: running a GPS app (full stand alone) via full stereo BT, and comparing its accuracy and speed with Google maps on Edge with screen capture for later viewing is cool. And turning off the screen will still let me hear the street name voice guidance.

12MP camera? What for? Do u wanna make a 10feet picture, or even post a picture of ur gf that covers all ur bedroom?

I use my photos at my phone, my personal PC, and sharing it with my friends.
A 3.2mp w/ AF camera can do all these things nicelly.

The more Megapixels u have, larger pictures u can print, or watch in a megascreen, whatever u wanna do with ur photo.

Juz look at the samples of iPhone 3GS pictures.
In fact, they have same quality than my 5MP Nokia N95 had.

@KK- Iphone is on average like 600 or 700 US dollars unlocked, but with subsidies it is 200 or 300 US dollar.

As for the HTC HD2 and Iphone...

The HTC HD2 is a beautiful phone with a huge screen, fast processor, etc. But honestly, window mobile is the worst operating system on any mobile phone. It is usually slow and lags alot, or even freezes. HTC HD2 runs smoothly enough given its 1Ghz processor, but by nature windows mobile is not good. Gaming and applications in general are not nearly as streamlined on windows mobile. Iphone 3GS has arguably the best games and music player of any mobile, and web browsing isn't too shabby either. I've had the iphone 3GS for half a year and I'd like to try out the HTC HD2, but I would recommend the iphone if you just want to have a great device WITHOUT the hassle.

the iphone is a nice phone but i like taking photos and its camera just 3 megapixel ,and the market has phones with 12 mp .also it does not support video calling which is available in my country .add to that there is no FM radio and of course no FM transmmiter.
and dont forget its low resolution screen.but the one thing that iphone has and others not is gaming which you can also play them on the ipod if u know what i mean
