Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I get Gmail instantly on my iPhone because I set it up as an exchange account, I also get MobileMe mail as well.

The Gmail is so fast that when I'm in Facebook notifications often reach my iPhone via Gmail before they reach my PC, I have 1.5Mbps ADSL vs 7.2Mbps HSDPA on my iPhone 3GS.

MobileMe also syncs my contacts and calendar and I can access files I store there using iDisk.

I can also track my iPhone's location, remotely wipe it or set a password and send a message to it while it makes a sound even if switched to silent.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970There is an application called multiflow that can do multi tasking on the iphone. I used touch pro2 WM 6.1 and the iphone 3gs. I used WM for almost a year and half, and I have to say that the iphone is better even with its limitation.

I jailbreak the phone and installed the required application to make me happy with it. Battery life is good also and the interface is clear and clean without any lags or full ram like the WM.
It is a different than WM, WM have to do something about their operating system to catch iphone or Android.

I am a person that used all, you can check all my posts in the HTC pro2 page with the same name pro.

I like the system stability, the store, and the non existant of the ram issue in the iphone more than the HTC, but I have to say that the bluetooth headset is not working well with the iphone, but it worked perfectly for HTC.

Nothing is perfect in this world.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2009Like this you mean? http://www.fring.com/blog/?p=1791 ... moreI have an iphone 4 days back after switching from HTC touch pro2. The multitask is an issue in some applications. While talking on skype with family or friends, I could not go back to check my e-mails as I will go offline. This is the area till now I found the multitask has a problem.

Please note that I have to jailbreak the phone to get what I need. I installed the ifile with attachment saver to be able to view files on the phone like WM explorer.

        I like the phone.

            So how's your "pink" camera?

Be careful installing the update, apparently it wipes your whole phone.

            http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_release_software_fix_for_the_hd2_camera_*pink_spot*_issues-news-1317.php

I think I'll watch a photo slideshow while listening to some music on my iPhone, meanwhile the Mail App will be syncing with exchange.

I like the way the iPhone multitasks.

K, 10 Dec 2009As you might see from my previous posts I aint an iPhone ba... moreI respect your opinion K, but I have to say that advertising isn't the imopetus for the iPhones huge sales. Never before has a phone so seemlesly integrated office functions and internet fetaures like the iPhone has. Example; I go to meet a client and enter their addrtess into the phone book (which wirelessly synchs with my mobile me). I Have the London tube map on the iphone so get to the destination easily. I have google maps so can find the clients office easily and what's more I have the google street level that shows me that my clients office is right next to a grocery store about 100 yards up from the station. So the phone almost makes me feel as though I have been to my prospective client already and takes the stress out of going to meetings. Another client calls me to rearrange an appointment, I put them on loud speaking and re-schedule the appointment which updates my desktop over the cloud... It is impressive. Occassionally the iPhone drops calls, but that's my only gripe.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2009If you find me repetitive and tiring, I also find the same ... moreI am not bashing the iphone outright, it is a nice phone, it works and that is why I got it. I live with the inconveniences just fine. I just put in my 2 cents to say that it is not perfect or flawless like many other products in this world; in short,… it’s not the best thing since sliced bread like so many claim. So lighten up! As far as sound goes I do not care what any study says, I judge by what I hear with my equipment in my ears! My earphone buds have a very wide range and maybe the iphone cannot reach some of them with certain types of music with PRESET EQ settings. Just give me a customable EQ and I am happy. You may like Pepsi but I like Coca Cola! As for FM where do you get off saying that wanting my local news is lame! You have a lot of nerve, and why would I use data at a cost to listen to local radio on the internet! That is not smart now is it? In addition, who is to judge where the best news is? That is personal taste and you should respect other people’s tastes, they should not be up for discussion, learn to agree to disagree. As far as the phone call quality, Rogers cannot figure it out for all three of us that have the same issue. They send us to Apple, they do not know either, and they send us back to the carrier. So they keep throwing the ball back and forth. And Dude; get a life you obviously need one.

As you might see from my previous posts I aint an iPhone basher, im actually very pro iPhone even though I dont own one. But I do have to agree that Apple have used some excellent advertising techniques, and it has been heavily advertised, hence its popularity. Brands like HTC and Samsung dont advertise their products as heavily as Apple do, hence less sales of their phones. Also when you see one person with an iPhone who says its cool, others will go out and get one, its like a chain reaction. So I have to say one of the fundamental reasons for iPhones popularity stems from its excessive advertising. But its a good phone as well, so I wont take that away.

Just because it says 5 megapixel doesn't mean it delivers decent pictures.

However, HTC is making a mark, and devices like its HTC HD2 can make iphone users rethink their next purchase. There is so much more flexibility and options to creating different homescreens and themes with the HD2. Not to mention the incredible 5 mpx camera and 480x800 screen resolution. Could be a toss up here as which device is better.
