65k does not allow range of contrast available with 16 million colours which is what produces it's vibrancy.

Side by side 65k looks washed out and dull compared to 16 million colours.

There's a reason computer screens go above 16bit in settings.

Most phones are still under this resolution.

It makes it easier to use with fingers as text and links are still large enough to see clearly.

My Sharp GX10 in 2002 had a 65k screen, 65k just hasn't cut it since 2004 and 264k screens came out or 2005 when 16 million colour screens were introduced.

65k colour is ok for people who buy their art at Walmart.

It is believed that, due to this kickstand, the world is headed for another recession as business people will have to make do with an inferior kickstand.

Yeah, if you never had a smartphone, it may look hard to imagine... if you come from a smartphone TO iPhone you're more like "WTF? was I not supposed to get this for 1000$???"

So no, I post that list just for fun's sake and to see how a brighter one - barely met one here - tries to disprove something... anything.

So in the end seeing you soldier boys defending a dead phone and a dead brand - because only a dead brand advertises it's sales - gives me almost daly a good laugh.

                  So please, go on...

The iphone is still the phone to beat. Action speaks louder than words. If the iphone is truly inferior as haters deem it to be, they wouldn't be wasting their time in here trying so hard to enumerate every single feature they can think of that the iphone does not have as if all the other phones out there have every single feature possible.

The iphone is still the king of touchscreen phones, and it will stay that way for many more years to come, considering how advanced the iphone is when it comes to touchscreen UI. It will take some time for others to catch up. The iphone's OS is already 3 yrs old and is keeps on improving. Others are just starting with their new touch OS platforms. The most aggressive rival that I see is Android. Their advantage is, they have multiple devices using their OS, which can also be their disadvantage when it comes to quality control and dissimination of services and products. Example would be their eclair version. Some would ask, "why only the droid?", "how come the SE x10 does not have it?". It might share the same fate as symbian. While with the iphone, all iphones get all the updates as soon as it's available. That's the iphone's main advantage, and of course, its App Store.

Paying more just because it's "apple" has no value for most people... certainly does explain the recent loss in sales, I mean not even reaching 200K in ASIA? I mean under 200.000 in a continent that actually represents half of the world...

Apple's iPhone are expensive due to: A) capacitive B)Apple license.

All Apple products are expensive despite you can get cheaper product on other manufacturer.

Why Nokia took this far to release a 3.2 Capacitive touchscreen phone?

I said "As I analyzed" and im not siding with anyone. Learn to read and understand. All I said was analyzed and I didnt say it's confirmed.

I noticed that capacitive touchscreen phones are expensive. Look at HTC, they're capacitive but has 65k of screens.

Im still waiting for a better product to much with the iPhone but I already found a handful of them. Nokia is not yet ready to face the iPhone with its 3.5 screen. The Nokia X6 is just the beginning. Same goes to other phone manufacturers

Just wanted to say Ive been using my new I phone 3gs for 1 month now and it is truly fantastic. Super fast, excellent connection via wifi or 3gs. Gaming is far superior than any phone out there. Great battery life and remote app to operate your lap top via i tunes. So quick and so easy even a 3 year old can use it with out problems. Bravo Apple for another job well done

The capacitative argument is irrelevant since capacitative is oversensitive, imprecise and can only be used with the finger but at least it's somewhat more resistant. It's also an industry standard as you can find info panels in every city, metro, mall out there, which makes it incredibly cheap.

Also the screen size be it 3.2 or 3.8 makes no sense either since a 320 x 480 resolution is a handicap for any touch screen phone.

And no, no real journalist uses the term of iPhone killer, in my opinion you should go analyze F.C.ies

The true iPhone Killers (as I analyze)

                                  Samsung i8910 Omnia HD
                                  Motorola MILESTONE

                                  Vodafone 360 H1

These are the only current iPhone Killers as their features are superior to the iPhone 3Gs and they are all Capacitive touchscreen and in 3.5" screen size

AS a product analyst, I can say is that the iPhone is in the middle of the metagame. There are a few 3.5" capacitive touchscreen phones and Nokia has not made a 3.5" capacitive phone except for the Nokia X6. A lot of other phone manufactures made capacitive touchscreens but few of them have 16M display.

With the prices of the Capacitive phone in the iPhone's standard, I can say it's quite expensive to have a Capacitive touchscreen phone.

Looking at the HTC's and the Nokia X6 are sure not cheap so I can say that Apple has the right price for its iPhone.

I think that a few phone with capacitive touchscreen has more features than the iPhone and I'll look at theother phones with such feature.

                                    Well done, Apple, well done
