Anonymous, 05 Dec 2009LoL... for music??? how about... NONE!?It depends on what you plug it into mine sounds awesome plugged into the dock that came built in to my home theatre system, it beats any stupid tiny, tinny phone speakers any day I don't know how people can stand listening to such BAD quality sound then babbling on about how important it is.

Any electrical store has hundreds of things with iPod/iPhone docks.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2009So mister, It will come inevitably for iPhone aswell. Ap... moreWith the way Apple works, when full multi tasking comes to the iphone, they would make sure that its software, hardware & battery is poweful enough that user experience will not be compromised. It's not just about putting in features just because you can. It's about making sure it works well.

Mac is popular. Not as popular as windows, but it's popular. It has a lot to do with their walled approach. That is how they want to keep it. Macs are not for the masses like windows is. I love my mac book pro. It's not the standard software, but I find it more secure and stable than when I was using windows.

The iphone has the walled approach. It just happened to have pioneered the apps store plus direct integration to the giant itunes which gives it the edge and advantage over other devices that are less established on 3rd party apps stores.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2009Sells what it sells bot we're all about handhelds here :) ... moreYou are not making practical sense at all. So just because you can open 28 apps at the same time, you'll open 28 apps just for the heck of it because you can? Lol. That's silly. But hey suit yourself :)

Evolution is a good thing, but it has to make sense as well, or else it would not evolve into anything big.

It make sense to have multiple processes running simultaneously on a desktop computer, because it has the hardware, software and electricity to make it very able. But on a phone, you have to be practical and reasonable, considering the RAM, the processor and the battery life it has.

The iphone's limited multi tasking capabilities makes a lot of sense.

Apple learns from mistakes. Why ain't mac popular? no apps no games... It's almost like a console without games...

So why run 28 apps? because we can:))

Why have multitasking, videocall and all the rest (the list)? because we can!

Why use dual core cpus when you have hyperthreading, why use hyperthreading on quad cores?

                              Because it's evolution :)

Right now I have 44 processes runing on my desktop, they're all in multitsk mode and all do something I need them to. And no I don't use a bloated vista, but a slimmed down XP that I personally customised.

So do I need multitasking to run my browser my messenger and a music/video player... kinda

But to listen it all via my bluetooth headset and my bluetooth mouse I do need multitasking.

Try a video on iPhone with a BT headset! there's where you'd need multitasking... simple, natural things.

No one even does that with a desktop computer, much more on a phone. And do you know how much battery power that consumes? Very impractical. But I guess to some people, like you, it's just nice to know that your phone can do that even if you won't really be doing it, which does not make sense to really brag about it. It's like living in a tropical island and you boast of your fur coat in your closet which you will never use, but you have it. It's a waste of closet space if you ask me.
