some of my friends has this phone but whats so great about this phone? i mean there a lot of phones better than this and yet they say this is the best, i think the great part of this phone is only the touchscreen, in terms of loud speaker there are better phones out there, the camera bad. wi-fi i dont use it, i have a laptop at home. i guess other have no pc/laptop at home... plus i think apple released a phone of course when its new, everybody wants the newest one, its human nature but be realistic about it, its just a phone, the main function is to call and text. there are phones definitely better than this. no offense to the iphone users out there but think about it, its just a trend.an expensive trend. plus the design never change, just a slight change.. all in all this not a phone for me even though i can afford this.no offense but respect to the users.

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2009Yeah right working in the industry you see it all the time.... more My N97 is in my workshirt pocket, in its case which i put in a small sandwich bag to shield it from water and dust and primer. If it rings i can usually get it out and answer it in time.

As for my co worker and his iphone he works in the bodyshop office and I'm not the person he has to convince regarding that he did nothing to crack his screen.

We do get customers who when they pick up their car say that scratch was never there b4.

I wish i had a dollar for everytime i heard that one.

hye, 16 Nov 2009I like nokias, but some people are just in love with iphone... moreWhich program were you using to open it?

        What format was it in.

I write a weekly business report in Word 2007 using QuickOffice on my iPhone then email it off to head office once a week.

I also add figures to an Excel spreadsheet and use the formulas for various calculations.

Sometimes it takes a while to open large PDF files but that's usually because it takes a while to download them.

Only a fool would install it without understanding what it does or how to set it up.

Why would you want a Nokia, they are only good for cheap phones for old people and kids.

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2009Jailbreakers, beware. http://www.intego.com/news/hacker-... moreIf you are going to jailbreak your iPhone I strongly suggest you find out what an SSH server is and what you should do before running one on your iPhone.

Of course this won't affect phones on my network as they are behind an NAS firewall provided by the network.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Sorry mate, but Nokia are falling behind in the mobile world. They lack any innovation and have increasingly poorer quality control. The iPhone does data well, LG does style well, Samsung do cameras well... Nokia, do cheap low end phones well. If they are to lackluster for much longer, their brand will lose its premium image in exchange for a cheaper one. The N97 is nowhere near the phone the iPhone is, nor is it as good as many of the samsung powerhouses so please rather than calling people iSheep stop being so biased yourself. Don't make a preference for brands, cause you will end up disappointed with them all, just pick a phone that suits you.

I think that list is more about built in functions than available OCR apps and that PC ocr is given as an example for the low DPI the 3MP 3GS provides.
