I'm sorry, I tried to use abbyy (OCR) on documents shot with iPhone, guess what it said? "DPI too low! Increase DPI value" Never happened on n95 or 5800 :|

I have an iphone 3g myself and ive been using it for a month now. I really love it so much.
It just depends on the user and what you prefer.
I just love my iphone! :)

Anything above 2 or 3 Megapixels is a waste as most phone's only use a 2 or 3 mm lens which is too close to the CMOS sensor to really do anything which is where the phones software comes in, to blur all the missing bits.
This is why the iPhone takes very clear pictures which are easily comparable to higher megapixel camera phones, Apple has been in the software business for 30 years, they know their stuff.
HTC is particularly weak in this area, their photo's are awful.

I have pointed out many times faults of the iphone. 1 being 3.0 kills the battery as was indicated by iphone users on the net. n97 battery is much stronger.Another is the lack of a flash for the camera makes for pics with dim lighting very poor and yes i know n97 flash has an issue.Zooming on the iphone pics is blurry.Screen res is behind on iphone3gs.Lack of replacable battery on the iphone especially when the battery needs to be replaced.
Instructions are on the net to replace iphone battery but its 16 steps.Who wants to risk that.Also capacitive screen easier to use then resistive but capacitive more likely to be damaged in a fall.Lack of proper bluetooth.Never a design change.For me that would be boring.If the n97 looked exactly like my n95 i never would have changed.So there you have it and no insults.

Nokia can still claim most of the smartphone market (I think the last figure was 35%?). But it's very impressive that Apple has only taken 2 years to break through the mobile industry.

I'm thinking of getting this phone. It will be my first "smartphone" and first touchscreen. At the moment, I'm looking at the 3gs, Nokia N97 and Nokia N900... I just have a question about the iphone (sorry for my ignorance) - can you send/receive files over bluetooth to/from other mobiles?

The problem with nokia lovers is. They can't argue reasonably. That's why they would always lose with iphone users.
There's always a subtle way of bringing out a point without resorting to offending anyone.
Those things that you nokia whiners are complaining about the iphone, are things that we iphone users already know.
We already know that the iphone's resolution can be improved. It's megapixels can be more. It's BT can be expanded for other uses. Etc, etc, etc.
The reason that we still bought the iphone, and so did the other millions of people, is because the iphone offers more useful things to us than higher screen resolution, or more megapixels. We would probably curse Apple if it's screen only supports black and white, but you see, it may not be at par with HD2, omnia 2 or N97, but it's not that bad either, and still looks very good.
But hey, the iphone obviously offers more stability, refinement and finesse that other phones can't match at the moment. So maybe that matters most to a lot of users.
So why can't you nokia lovers just enjoy the competition. It's what pushes all phonemakers to be better. No need for mockery and irrational posts.

The point you are not getting is, with the iphone's proprietary usb cable, you can still be able to connect your iphone to any standard computer with a usb port. I had to explain that to you in my post because you made it seem like it can't.
No I did not get my understanding of AVRCP from wikipedia at all. And before you mock me of where I got my information from. You may want to ask yourself where you got your understanding of AVRCP as well, unless you can tell us that you are the one who created AVRCP :)
What stuttering are you talking about? See you're lying again. All the videos that I have on my iphone have excellent quality and LEGAL, because I bought them from itunes.

No I am not lying. Some songs saved in memory cards don't play on music players, and sometimes you cannot see them at all when you were certain that you copied and pasted it to the memory card.

With the iphone, we don't have to worry about any modes to connect. Just synch it and you're done :) And that is exactly the point I'm trying to make. The convenience and ease.
And how is internal memory cumbersome & pointless? LOL. What basic storage are you talking about? And what's wrong with the iphone proprietary cable? It comes with it, so why is that a problem? LOL. I say you're just making lame issues on something that is really not an issue.
