I don't think anyone here would force you to like the iphone or anything. But shouldn't you be on the n900 thread? This is the iphone 3gs thread where people who are interested on the iphone would post comments to learn more about it. If we're interested in the n900, we'll go and check it out in the n900 thread. So stop promoting your n900 in here. Are you here to pick a fight with iphone users? Well it's useless, because we love our iphone just as you love your n900 that's not even released yet, lol. Stop forcing us to like your n900.

    I have a mac at home, a mac book pro when I'm on the go, and a pc at work. Now would I need my phone to behave like a computer? And let's face it. Even with the n900's multi tasking capabilities, there would be drawbacks to that in relation to battery life and performance. But hey, suit yourself if multi tasking is that important for you. But again like I said, in my situation, I don't need my phone to do full multi tasking. I have real computers where it would really make sense to have full multi tasking. I don't think that having multi tasking on a phone makes it better than other devices that can't. The iphone has been selling more units than other smatphones with multi tasking. Proof that there are other better features than multi tasking.

          There is no danger from the jailbreak, and still you can use the Itune normally. The effect of the jailbrek is the iphone will get slower and after sometimes it could be very very slow. I jailbroke my 2G and 3G iphone, mainly because of video recording, copy/paste, downloads, bluetooth, but faced the speed slowdown. As a result I will not jailbreak my 3GS.
          I don't advice you to jailbreak 3GS iphone since software 3.0 covered most of the shortcoming features . In additon Appstore has many free applications like downloads, voice command browsers,dictionaries, iphone to iphone bluetooth, and so many.

            The N900's task manager supports live multitasking, meaning that not only does it allow for multiple apps to stick around in the background mode, they can also run simultaneously, for example it can play a video clip and at the same time show it as a thumbnail in the task manager. In many ways this functionality resembles what desktop operating systems are capable of, like Windows Vista or Windows 7. As always, the task manager enables the user to jump to the app he needs or close any of the currently running processes.

              I'm tempted to have my iphone 3gs be jailbreaked and if i do so, can i still sync with my contacts and calendars using itunes? what are the dangers of having my iphone jailbreak? I'm tempted to do this because as i have researched, i can change the color of my keypads, i can have different theme or background which is so cool and i can do a lot more.

              please somebody help with my questions. Thanks in advance

                        Jus got a dyno app for my phone which can work out bhp and 1/4 mile times for any car I enter into the system. Appears to be like the G-tech system. Now just have to wait for a dry day to test out.

                              Where do those songs come from? Go to files in itunes then add file,then get it from limewire eh.

                                N900 KING, 04 Oct 2009Display3.5 inch touch-sensitive widescreen display 800 × ... morehey did u mention that it is also 19-20mm thick LOL u need an extra bag to hold that thing cuz for sure its not fitting into ur pocket. unless u wear really saggy shorts ROFL and hell there r not even any specifics on the powervr sgx card. might not even match up with iphone. and u think there will be a lot of apps at the beginning?! no way man, at least will take a year for apps to start coming in. so it may be a good start, but as of now, there is NO WAY its going to beat iphone. stop going to other phone's specs if ur just going to bag on them. get a life u freak. and htc leo will eat that shit up. 4.3 in CAPACATIVE SCREEN. and a matured winmo 6.5. dang man, might as well roll over and die nokia, cuz htc is coming to town.

                                  Mavic, 04 Oct 2009Got this iphone 3gs for almost a month now and i would say ... morei know u can customize the message tone. there are many of tutorials out there. just search on google. as for the bluetooth, yea iphone isnt so good on that, but who uses bluetooth transfer...its really slow. one time i transferred a 3 min song from my htc to my friend and it took like 8-10 min ROFL. and yes it is bluetooth 2.0 XD so yea i dont see the use of bluetooth, maybe for headphones, but not really the best for file transfer :/ as of calendar tones i am not sure about them.

                                    Wow a screen like the LG Arena only not capacitive, that sounds pretty crap.

                                    N900 KING OF FAIL.

                                    Only just catching up to the iPhone CPU, RAM and graphics.

                                    How will the sound be, those ALSA drivers for Linux can be hard to get good sound out of especially with no equaliser.
