lets end this loooooooooong argument...
it all boils down to PREFERENCE!!!! DIFFERENT PEOPLE use DIFFERENT PHONES for DIFFERENT THINGS.
Whos to say the iphone is shit when it may be able to do EVERYTHING SOMEBODY might want it to do.
Whos to say the iphone is better than any oteh rphone out there??? no phone out there can do EEEVERYTHING. there's positives and negatives about every handset. i baught an iphone today and im yet to experience what it can do. i knwo it cant to a few things i want it to but i know it can do a few things what my previous phone cant do...
what may be perfect for one may be junk to another.
all of you use your heads and stop talking S**T.. we all pick a phone for our own reasons! we dotn buy phones to please others!!!!!!!
chances are that if you look to the person to your left and to your right...you will have a different phone to them.

I am using 3G iphone and i am really enjoying with the 3G iphone and this is the best phone i ever used. [ compeer with Nokia Range ] But after seen 3GS iphone i really want to go with that and but since i bought 3G iphone i am not in position to afford for that at this stage. my question is why ur'll not developing the 3GS software and can we upgrade our normal 3G to 3GS ....?? I am really like iPhone and i am wishing you to update iPhone with more and more software and be number one cell phone in the world. All the best. my contact is rismym@brandix.com

Apps are more important, processing speed, touch fluidity and responsiveness, OS stability, etc. Those are the features and qualities that are more important and are worth the hardware and memory space. What good is surround sound and divx on a phone? Are you going to watch movies all day on your phone? LOL. Sorry, but I save my movies and watch them at home on my big screen HD plasma TV with my bose surround sound system, not on my phone, lol.
Hey dummy, each company have different niche. Apple have their own. Apple products have always catered to high end buyers, and not really to the masses with your type of mentality. They themselves did not expect the iphone to sell as many as it did, but it did. Gucci, LV, BMW, Mercedes, etc, do not cater to everyone either, and could care less if your minimum wage neighbor could not afford to buy any of them. Does that mean they do not have business sense? LOL. Sometimes, image and stature is more important to some companies. So please save your low class comments on business to yourself =)

That is the reason why the iphone is very successful. It streamlined what features really matter most to users and put them on first, and just add on other features as they go along after it has been thought out on how to make that feature really useful for the user.
The iphone screen resolution is not bad at all. Iphone is not the only high end smartphone with that resolution. And most importantly, they have a very good and valid reason why they're keeping it that way for now. Something that you seem to not consider because you refuse to think and just want to attack the iphone. Other high end smart phones have a higher resolution but poor legibility under sunlight and only has thousands of colors compared to the iphone's awesome legibility under direct sunlight and 16 million colors. And those phones have been in the business way longer than Apple. Shame, shame, shame :)

Why do you want to install Navman, Tom Tom or other GPS software on Nokia phones when they come with Nokia maps?
Why do you want install photoshop or Office on your PC?
Why you want to install Apps on your iPhone?

TO MAKE IT DO WHAT YOU WANT.

twenty million iphone is sold ,right, how many of them satisfy the phone? how many of them realy know how to use it? how many of them complaining it? how many of them regret after buying it? no one know n apple not dare to let us know, apple themself can know the figure cos there r alot of apple store, they just let u know how many phone is sold.

that why i said iphone don have better technology, it just use those useless application in itune to atract d buyer. why other phone don use this method? cos nokia , sony, samsung etc uses their own best technology to create a phone, not by atracting buyer with those thousand of useless application

You dont HAVE THOSE FEATURES dumbo, its a fact, if u use them or NOT isnt the point. Apple doesnt have technology to integrate some of them e.g DivX. So u DONT HAVE THEM. We DO with cheper phones. Period

U know why? i Phone is just simply great and whoever don't have it!!!Jealous of that!!!cause they see the phone to some one else hand and feel bad that they don't have that great phone!!!The apps r just great,resolution can't beat and performance is amazing.lot of option in the market for u guys.Whatever u like buy it & use it.But u have to admit , i phone is just great and KING in Smart Phone market.

Not all. But... moreYes, a lot have fm, but still not all. So it's not only the iphone that does not have fm like what the other guy was implying.
Just because others are integrating those said features, it does not mean that Apple has to, does it? Apple has their own features that they think should take priority to be on the iphone. In time they may include those features, but then again they may not.
As for the iphone's resolution, you just don't understand, that is why you have that mentality. It is not that Apple does not have what it takes to improve the iphone's screen resolution, but they have to consider the thousands of apps that may render unusable if they up the resolution. It is not smart to up the resolution without making sure first that the older apps would work on higher resolution screens. Can you imagine how upset the millions of iphone owners would be if they can no longer use the apps that they have downloaded when they updgrade to the next gen iphone wih a higher screen resolution? But don't worry, it will come. Symbian and winmo do not consider those things because first of all, the don't care. They just want to have impressive specs, and secondly, they don't have that much apps anyways, hahahaha.
And please don't brag about your surround sound feature. We're not envious at all. The iphone still has the best music reproduction quality, and no amount of fake surround sound effect could beat that :) Get back to me on this one when your phone would actually have 2 front speakers, two rear surround sound speakers and a sub woofer :) Maybe then I'd be jealous :)
