My BMW provides an iphone cable that connects the iphone to my car stereo and charges it at the same time. BMW gives that as a standard accessory. They don't offer Nokia cables. So yes, it makes sense why you need an FM transmitter.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2009I'm sure that the N97 has a good music player thru earphone... moreWell i watched 2 videos side by side clicked on both at the same time of n97 and omnia hd.I couldnt see that the omnia hd was better.They both must have been uploaded directly from the phones.Omnia will not show its true quality cause you're not viewing it on a HD screen when viewing it on the phone. Just has a little better screen res then n97!

It transmitts your cell music to an fm frequency of your choosing.In the car for example. I know someone who uses an aftermarket transmitter for his iphone3g and puts all his music thru the radio!

Although there was maybe 2 or 3 photos that the N97 produced better results, omnia hd produced better results on the majority of the pictures. But I was more impressed by SE actually than both the N97 and the omnia hd.

I had the N95 before and I thought it was good, although not good enough that I still prefer to use my ipod. The iphone has the best sound quality production based on professional tests. FM transmitter?what do I need to transmit? I have no use for an fm transmitter.
As to which has the better camera between the Omnia HD and N97, you cannot just base it on what people say in forums. You have to look at the results yourself, or base it on a review by professionals, not by comments in forums. Camera specs wise, Omnia HD has more to offer than the N97 both on still photos and videos.

Someone gave a link once in the n97 forum comparing omnia hd photos to n97 photos. No word of a lie.N97 photos were better.
N97 video recording is awesome as well.Not saying its better then omnia HD,but when you view daytime recorded video you feel like you're right there.

But those features are not important for me. I have a wonderful digital camera in case I need to take pictures that I intend to print.
I didn't buy my iphone to use it as my primary camera. I bought it so I can avail of thousands of apps, browse the web, get my emails, and have the best music player.

The iphone does not need fm radio because it has apps like pandora, and it even has xm radio. Zooming pics saved on the iphone that was taken from a digital camera looks crisp and clear. The ones that were taken by the iphone is alright. Not as crisp when you zoom it, but usually, when I take pictures using my iphone, it's on a close distance, so I wouldn't have to zoom. But no doubt that the N97 has the better camera compared to the iphone. But if camera is important for me to have on a phone, I'd probably get the Omnia HD, not the N97.

No fm transmitter on the iphone.I'm guess the iphone video recording is O.K even though I've never seen it,But i know for a fact zooming pictures on the iphone 3gs is not clear.I've tried it in Rogers wirelesson iphone 3gs.
