Zero, 12 Aug 2009so now the gsmarena require the webmaster to review the com... moreI didnt know they had to check comments, although everytime I post it always says something about moderators being able to delete anything that they see as rude or offensive. Anyways all I said was how can something white go pink? The only picture I've seen of an overheated white iphone shows it brown like toast. But I havent seen any pink. I would like to see a pic of a pink iphone though! And if iPhones are coming out this defective than Apple should do something, I was going to buy one but I'm going to need Nextel service so I'll probably get the Blackberry 8350i this month. Hopefully this overheating problem isnt something common because I want to buy this phone within the next few months.

I have read some news which say nokia has already develop new UI called direct UI but still under the test. They have said it will be used on touchscreen phones released at the end of next year, and one of the feature included will enable user to control the phone by hovering above the screen but not touching it. Thats will be real iphone killer.

P.S. The pink colour wipes off with an alcohol wipe, it comes from putting a white iPhone in a cheap case then leaving it on a car dashboard in the sun.

Globe (Philippine Network Provider) sent me an SMS yesterday saying that there is a Worldwide outage of iPhone 3G S because of its popularity. Optus in Australia ran out of stock also. Crappy Globe Telecom!

Addition, htc hero has the same features, same quality, but with batterylife of 1,5 days. And I mean really 1,5 day, not like the iphone when u say 1 day but in fact you mean half a day.

problems 3g s: overheating, bad compass, battery, 2 year contract with extra payment.
so in fact you better buy a 3g over a 3g s, because in fact you are downgrading to the 3g s. 3g a little bit slower but topquality, no issues.
I will wait a year, see what apple has to offer then, but for the price it should be top and now it isnt. If i close a 2 year contract the device better be top quality and the iphone 3g s isnt at the moment. I really did consider it but to many downsides, why 2 year contract for a half upgraded phone with overheating problems, with still bad battery and the compass doesnt work. This looks more then a downgrade to me then an upgrade.
I have decided for htc hero, which is a superb phone also, it has an appstore it has youtube, capacitive touchscreen, superbrowser with multitouch etc. And it all works.

Although it's not a big deal for me because my bimmer has a navi. But the compass on the 3gs does not work most of the time. It makes you do that figure 8 gesture all the time. I guess it's to calbrate it, but I really find it annoying. And map is slow and unprecise with the 3gs. I prefer maps on my old 3g phone.

Ok. First, I use to hate the Iphone with a passion...and I still think the original Iphone, and the 3g 2nd generation are crap....
I have used the Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N96 and just purchased the N97...I NOW OWN THE IPHONE 3GS AND GAVE UP MY NOKIA N97!
Here's why:
If you JAILBREAK and UNLOCK the Iphone 3GS - it then becomes the tool it was meant to be!!! You can do anything from anywhere, run any operator, and install a cornucopia of apps from both Cydia and Icy including GOOGLE VOICE!!!
I have been using my Jailbroken, and unlocked Iphone 3GS for 1 month, and am very impressed!
Who cares about a 3.5MP camera on it...its features FAR outweigh a camera..if you want a camera, visit canonusa.com!
I love using the apps on it form Cydia, Icy and yes, even teh apps store...and I love running it on the Orange network when I'm in Canada, and Tigo when in Colombia!
Get the iphone 3gs w/o hesitation - just make sure you have a way to BOTH jailbreak and unlock it!!

Please can anyone tell me if you can automatically sync up email sub-folders with the Iphone 3GS? I know with the Iphone 3G (previous version) you could not. The only way to find out if you had a new email would be to manually click into each of your email subfolders which is very impractical. I wondered if this had changed in the new 3GS? If not, is there a third party app that can be used to do this? My question relates to both Exchange and IMAP email.
