Look, i used to hate the iphone as much as the next person, that is until i actually got my hands on one. it is really a great multimedia device. Camera? yea its crap, but who wants to take amazing quality photos on a phone, get an SLR if you want good quality pictures and you're into your photography.
I must however agree that the new 3Gs is a great dissapointment. There is absolutely no difference to the old one, other than slightly bigger storage and a 3 MP camera, i mean come on Apple, you must have some kind of intelligence at your head office, if you don't just do a bit of market research instead of recycling your old technology.

I am about to buy an Apple iphone 3GS. I am not that savy. My old Nokia N95 had a memory card slot that I have information on. How do I transfer that to my new Apple iPhone

Video, 3mp camera, touch select foucus camera, compass, voice controls (you can say "play songs by REM" and it will. These are not "cosmetic fixes", you get non of these functions in the 3.0 upgrade. If the 3Gs cost too much for your budget, then sure just get the free 3.0 upgrade, but if you can afford the 3Gs upgrade, then I think it is worth the money.

Please don't upgrade your 3g the 3gs is only a cosmetic fix just update to 3.0 and u will b soughted by the way it's pricey to. Otherwise you will b the looser driving a crap Chinese car worth about 2300$ it's insane

Just to add, the touch to select focus area is really useful if your main subject is off center in the image. It works perfect.

For those who have a 3G and are wondering if they should upgrade. The improvements of the 3Gs that I found as being useful are, video recording, a little longer bat life, a better camera (you can see the better image quality), I also like the compass function intergrated into google maps, I like having 32gb. if these thing are not that important, stay with the 3G and wait for the next model that may have video call.

disabled person, and senior citizens uses nokias! who get used to prehistoric phones and dont have the mental and physical ability to change phones and get used to it anymore. they needed keyboard buttons and a big font because of poor eyesight and lack of finger control abilities. They need a very loudspeaker because they cant hear that much!LOL
i guess you are one of them, dont worry iphone users will also use nokias when they get old!LOL

Did you guys find iPhone 3G ... moreWe have a demo one at work and it is definately a lot faster than my 3G, it has the video camera, with touch to focus and adjust the exposure to any point on the screen, the camera also works better in dark places, voice commands, compass, there are also some accessibility functions like reading out every touch on the screen.
I'm still deciding if I want to change, it still costs a lot to get out of my plan but I can recoup that easily by selling either my 8 or 16GB unlocked 3G's.
